ahem! Fields/Chuganov. At least Chuganov didn't transfer out.
and let's not forget the 2015 Barrett/Jones where nobody knew until the coin flip on the opener. Hmm... did that backfire?

I remember when we praised Tressel on this site for not oversigning. But, with transfer portals with instant eligibility, it's the new normal.
I'm confused... OSU is now at 90 scholarships according to this site's grid.
Tyler Friday, Palaie Gaoteote, and Josh Proctor are included in the 90's but are 'maybes' as they have yet to declare if they will use their 'covid year'
But my calculations: 5 have to go :(
can't Xaiver Johnson play every position?
:)
See you in the fall. We both know we'll all be watching.
They lied to him... offered him more money than they had in the hopes they'd find it. Told him AFTER he signed hoping he'd feel it was too late and just stay and take whatever pittance of a consolation prize they offered.
Look, don't offer if you can't deliver. I'd tell any CFB player to run away if lied to about life altering money.
why did they have to vacate the sugar bowl again?
The NCAA KNEW about the violations after the regular season, but "ok'd" the players for the bowl against Arkansas. They played that game and were handed a 'suspended sentence' of the first 5 games of 2011. (ahh yes, the Joe Bausermann Era)
The Buckeyes have completed 133 football seasons
Yes, there are 133 Years between 1890 and 2022. BUT... in 1890, OSU fielded two teams: a spring team (1-0) and a fall team (0-4). Thus, OSU has played 134 seasons. This makes Egbuka's 2022 season less than 1% more impressive.
According to Wikipedia:
The 1890 Ohio State Buckeyes football team was the first football team fielded by the Ohio State University. It was two distinct teams: one that played a game that spring, and another that played that fall, with a new coach, a new captain, and a significant turnover of team members.
Lost Civilizations is thing right now... thanks for getting 11W aboard
likely, it'll be his 4th year. He's a 5 star QB, somebody will take him.
Let's not pretend day already knows who the starting QB is.
you never 'showcase' a serviceable QB during garbage time, just keep them healthy.
Practice isn't the same as a game, but you don't risk injury in garbage time to serviceable QBs. Every time you lose a QB (even a backup), you lose just a little bit more sleep each night.
I'm confused, why just two teams?
so they have 272 total College Football titles between them? This is a major upgrade :D
Why not two free tickets with a purchase of a large coke?
The Brady Hoke special
OSU had 4 issues at the season's end:
items 1 and 2 should be gone. Item 3 can be easily remedied. Item 4, not so much... but if 1 through 3 are fixed, this team is amazing.
yes... that's exactly how it works
most of OSU's PI calls have not been egregious. Sadly, they are textbook penalties.
I'd call delay of game. Seems to be a go-to for this offense.
