I’ve been thinking about the potential to be creative with this position with a more athletic player. Hats off to Mitch Rossi who carved out a role in this offense after being a walk-on. Looking at the RB room and TE room, I have some thoughts. 

Fullback TEs usually aren’t super tall. Rossi is listed at 6’1 & 250. I doubt he’s that tall, but let’s go with it. 

First candidate: Gee Scott Jr. 6’3 & 239. More athletic. Good pass catcher. Faster that Rossi. Weakest attribute is traditional TE blocking on the line.  Put on 5 more LBs. Use him in the passing game out of the backfield more. Does he have that lead blocking dawg in him though? 

Second candidate: Chip Trayanum. I always thought we should have used more 21 & 22 personnel with Master Teague, who I thought could make a quality FB for dive plays and some relief passes. Thought he’d have a good NFL future at FB. Now I’m transferring that to Chip. He’s 5’11” And 230. Maybe put 5-7 more pounds on. The guy is fast, likes to hit because he’s also a LBer. Smart FB player who will do anything for the team. Good enough to be a college RB and LB.  Could get creative here.
