Kid has some sick speed and quickness. Burst in and out of cuts is great. 5’11” 195 is good size to go along with that speed. Would be a huge in state get for Alford.

Damn. Wish these kids would stay and get developed rather than book it after 2 seasons. So be it. 6 corners in the room for 2023. Hopefully CSH and Matthews can come along quickly to provide real depth come September 2023. Burke and Hancock need to step up and be ready to ball. We need BIA back desperately.

At the same time in this frame there is a UGA defender coming in hot to wreck CJ off of a blocking breakdown. I’m positive if CJ had a clean pocket and no pressure he would’ve made this throw to EE.

Would be nice for us to get him instead of Bama after losing Lockwood to Bama earlier this cycle. Adding him to create good depth could be a real help at TE. I think we very lowkey had a real depth issue there this season. Our top 2 TEs are converts from other positions Stover from defense and Scott Jr. from WR. It would’ve been nice to see Royer come along this year but it seems we have to wait another offseason. Other than that we have Bennett Christian and Sam Hart, I like them both but they’re young still. And Jelani Thurman coming in as a true freshman (not sure if he’s an early enrollee but that would be big).

What’s our recovery plan at DE going into the February signing day? I like our DL class thus far with Will Smith Jr., Kayden McDonald, Jason Moore, and Mickens. I know Moore has been discussed mostly on the interior but has versatility and Mickens is seen more as a Hybrid LB/DE. But as true DE we need bodies.

Cedrick Bailey, Chaminade-Madonna Prep QB 6’6.5” 185 according to 247. Teammate of current 2024 commit Jeremiah Smith, and 2024 target Joshisa Trader. Im impressed by his highlight tape. Smooth delivery, good arm strength, good athleticism.

Underwood’s a special talent for sure. A reclassification to 2024 would be ideal but Im not sure how likely that is. Ryan Day with a dual threat talent like Underwood would be scary. Would love to take him from TSUN.

If theres one position we can afford to have a miss at in recruiting its QB. LK got us secured in 2023 and 2025 is loaded with talent at QB.

I love Hartfords tape and measurables. Long rangy safety that loves to hit.

That sounds like a good safety trio in the future. I wouldn’t sleep on Bonsu either, if all 4 were out there at once that’d be a haunting defense.

I was watching the USC v Notre Dame a few weeks ago, and the announcer said how ND had taught their Dlinemen to contain Caleb Williams by chasing his upfield shoulder rather than his downfield shoulder, forcing him to step up forward into the pocket where there is more defense rather than allowing him to escape the pocket and extend the play and still be able to throw downfield. Seemed like a pretty good way of teaching QB containment during the pass rush. Could help in the playoffs, extended plays definitely killed us against TTUN.

I love the McCord optimism, I’m on board with it. He has a huge arm. Definitely think it’s his job to lose even though Brown is talented. Ryan Day gets a lot out of his QBs for sure and the offensive skill on this team next year -praying everyone stays healthy- is going to be out of this world again. But before all that, let’s go win this Natty. GO BUCKS.

Agreed because this back door way of employing student athletes for their work is just more complicated and more destructive than it needs to be.
