Happy Monday, Eleven Warriors!

Some of the big news in wake of the CFP semifinal fallout last week was Kirk Herbstreit relaying that Ryan Day will make moves to not call the plays for Ohio State next season. This news came not only on the heels of one of the best overall playcalling performances of Day's career in the Buckeyes' loss to Georgia, but also in wake of offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson's departure to Tulsa.

At this point, the steering wheel for the the Ohio State offense is effectively up for grabs, so in This Week's Question, Eleven Warriors asks: who do you want to see calling the plays for Ohio State next season if Ryan Day gives up the responsibility?

There are already a few well-suited candidates in-house with respect to wide receivers coach Brian Hartline and offensive line coach Justin Frye. The coaching carousel's rapid rotation around the country should have some other intriguing names available as well given the offseason will arrive for every school starting tomorrow.

Hartline seems like the obvious answer here, but the potential to bring in a new coordinator and bestow the duty upon them makes this an intriguing question. With that in mind, I'll say rescue former Michigan offensive coordinator Josh Gattis from Miami and promote him to lead play caller. Gattis' strong ground game philosophies would mesh well with Day's approach to running an aerial assault, and it would drive the Wolverines nuts if Ohio State's revenge victory for the previous pair of seasons came with help from one of the key reasons Michigan won in 2021.

What about you? If not Ryan Day, who do you want to see as Ohio State's playcaller next season?
