Depth. Also, only a pittance of NIL money - more to spend elsewhere.
They'll be playing that Buckeye SWAG song for you! Ball out at the next level young man! BTW i think Coach Day learned a valuable lesson (a tad late) this past season - when you have horses - let them *&@!^% Run!!!!
Every opinion counts...but does this count as an opinion? Hmmm
Good 'ole Sammy W was a scout team player of the week against Rutgers last year. Moving on up!
Is it possible Day is Better than Urby? - Recruiting - game management? Just thinking out loud
I got the feeling that Wade had one of those ho hum days - just lock down his side of the field. It's early, but damn that guy is a really good corner. The competition obviously gets better this weekend but I'm excited to see what he can do. My overreaction is that we are in good hands with S. Wade.
What I thought was more surprising was the fact that a walk on RB was in the lineup. I thought the kid from Cincinnati - Miyan Willams - was having a good camp - why not have him in the game? The other stuff is really just clique bait
Great for fan sites but two number 4 seeds have won it and 0 top seeds have won it - so just means seeding is meaningless - gotta get in and take care of business. BTW I really want to end this Clemson curse - starting to feel like TTUN fans - let’s take care of that business first
I think Day is doing an amazing job - particularly given this is his first HC job. I'll add that this program and even Day was developed by Urban Meyer. However, as is the case sometimes - nepotism really was the downfall of Coach Meyer. His insistence on hiring friends and family of friends did not really allow him to be who we know he is. He needed the scandal and the emergence of Day to get out of the dumpster fire that was his coaching staff. No doubt he will coach again (likely at ND or USC) - but that's another story. Day will have much success - will he win a Natty? If he is, this is the year to do it - there's nobody in the country that's better.
It's "THEir" team - let "THEm" choose whom "THEy" want for Captains. Every leader has a different style, so maybe this is a reflection of different leadership styles, but certainly its a reflection of "THE" respect "THEy" have for "THEse" magnificent seven.
I think Coach Day will get the most out of Fields. I don't have a huge sample size and don't really want to compare Fields with Haskins, but the fact is Haskins did break a ton of B1G and Buckeye passing records along the way and parlayed that into a first round salary. So, with Day's history of success as an OC in college (coached Matt Ryan as well, and his offense was second in the nation in Red Zone efficiency) I think he knows what he has and by game 4-5 we should see a really good football player at QB and a great offense. Last thing, can't discount the Urban affect - don't really have to mesh his offense with UM's anymore. Go bucks!
No issues for Day and Alford, this will all work itself out - too much positive momentum right now. Besides, Beanie Wells, Sam Maldanado and Maurice Clarett, were the only 5 star running back recruits for the Buckeyes, so - find me another 4-star like Zeke and I'm happy - there's still a good number of them out there.
I don't think Bell will exceed 100 tackles - re: the new Raekwon will eat up more tackles than Curtis did last year.
