Up vote J. I don't want you mad at me either. /s

You're right about previous transitional teams though. You really never know what you'll get with some of these rosters, but we do have a lot of talent to tap into. I kind of think we will be fine next season. Maybe a loss along the way but every other team loses players too.

Sorry to say but at this point in time I have to agree with you on the michigan game. But, football teams and seasons are funny and unusual things occur. We have as much or more talent than TTUN but they have us on experience in key positions. After all, we won a title with a 3rd string QB and beat mighty Bama in the playoffs. Who knew?

This will be a transition year. Many guys left, many stepping up. We as fans will have to be patient while this thing plays out. Older fans realize this, and I hope the younger ones will give this team the time to find its identity. I never imagined we would get in the playoff after losing to TTUN and losing the B1G but we did. Our Buckeyes almost, almost beat Georgia. Let's just give it time to play out and not attack each other over differing opinions. And, don't down vote me or I'll be MAD !!

Kind of odd that they have OSU winning at Notre Dame and michigan in arborville. Then losing at Wisconsin? Better that than losing to TTUN I guess. Way too early predictions are fun to read though. I think our offense will find its groove and be fine. As everyone else, I hope the defense improves its containment.

Didn't have that one but had some with the Green Goblin and Dr. Octopus plus many others. Back then we passed comics around and read and re-read them many times. I did sell quite a few to a collector a few years back and made some money. Got tired of storing them. Nowadays, these things are treated like rare art.

Don't even ask me about the collector/ muscle cars I've had in the past. But, I had a lot of fun with them. I did manage to keep one though. I still have a 1962 Chevy stepside truck that's fun to drive. Who knew all of this stuff would be worth so much down the road?

It's a good thing the Buckeyes first three games are against very beatable teams. Good for breaking in a new QB and possibly platooning both for comparisons. We've got Indiana, Y town State and Western Kentucky. After that, Notre Dame in South Bend. Very good season beginning for the offense and defense to work out some kinks. The Irish game will be difficult.

Agree Nutinpa. Rex Kern has to be on that list in the top four IMO. Best field general ever at Ohio State. The game was different back then and defenses were rough. They also didn't have near the protective penalties for QB's back then. I remember those days also. Bottom line is OSU has been blessed with many great QB's over the years.

Congrats Chase on the coaching success of your mother. Legendary record for sure.

Question: Does she know anything about football? Can she coach defense? /s.  A little Monday morning humor never hurts right?

Absolutely epic song of the day. The message still resonates today. Grew up listening to Black Sabbath in my teen years. This is one of their best.

This might sound too simple and easily dismissed but it does help lead to a decision. My wife and I have been married over 41 years and have had to make a number of big decisions. Early on we decided to get a pad of paper and honestly write down the pros and cons in the decision process. There is something about seeing it on paper that helps a lot. Since your kids are older, have them write a list of their own. Have a family meeting, get a pizza and discuss it openly together. Try it but BE HONEST with yourselves. It really does help. Just remember, money ain't everything. People and relationships are what matters. Good luck.

While I agree with the continue to improve argument, one thing bothers me about this past season.

I played football through high school. I was a linebacker my last couple of years and the number one issue stressed was don't give up the big plays. Any defense, especially at a high-profile college program, should stress this as a priority. I'm willing to wait to see the improvements but am still surprised that adjustments weren't made earlier in the season. I believe that fact is what bothers fans the most.

But we will hope for the best next season.
