Welcome to Buckeye Nation Victor! Knowing a little about the area that Victor is coming from i can tell you that he is coming from the top high school program in LA. West Monroe Rebels have just as many State and National high school titles as the top programs in the state of Ohio. So his high school coaching is as good as it gets. I believe Victor will be at center for OSU or the top back up for any of the positions on the O-Line.

Each year is different, each year grown men step up into a starting job. The offensive line has just that, men ready to step up and win a job. Is Ryan Day sending the right call here with running to the transfer portal to find players for the O-Line. Our Cornerback room doesn't have the numbers so finding players ready to step in or step up is job #uno for Coach Day and his staff.

Lets face it, sometimes players stay to long and hold back other players that are ready to step up. Our defense is really close to a mess giving up 80 some points the last two games is it fixable sure but not with the same players making the same mistakes will get us nothing more than the same, how many times does Ransom need to be toast in big games before we try someone new, look for an overhaul in the back 5 if we want to fix the defense,

All I have heard is pass the ball against the Dawgs defense, which is the wrong approach if you want to win this game, if CJ passes the ball over 35 times we are in a big hole. Winning football games comes down to blocking and tackling and if that isn't the main message to the whole buckeye football team, then we haven't learned a darn thing.

Coach Day has to get the running game going without it the dawgs defense will just have a field day chasing CJ down. Every football game comes down to the two basic principles blocking and tackling and the team that does it the best will be playing for a natty. #GoBucks

I think its time to see more of Williams on the D-line at the tackle position and maybe some of the younger dbs considering what we saw in the last game of the regular season. We need two players that can guard these tight ends the bulldogs have or its going to be a long night in buckeye country, we have two good offensive tackles whom should be able to handle the Carter guy at least to a stalemate. considering that Parris Johnson Jr hasn't allowed a sack all year I like us in this match up.

If we throw the ball over 40 times we will be defeated. If you run bubble screens like we tried against Penn St. we will lose big time. Its no secret on how to win games, first and foremost we must block and tackle at a 90% level, second we have to run the ball and put up good numbers running it and a average of six yards per carry should get the job done with 30 attempts with two tds, and lastly the passing game we will need to hit some long balls and be consisted with the mid range passing game and come up with four tds. special teams need to be at a level we haven't seen all season and come up with some points or just don't give up no big plays!!

Running Game, If CJ plans on running the ball it will help the overall run game! Common opponent Rutgers OSU runs for 252 and 5 rushing tds. ttun runs for 282 and 4 total tds on the ground. total passing yards for ttun on the season 1615 total passing yards and for OSU 2453 passing yards. total rushing yards OSU 1739 at 5.5 yards per run and ttun 2250 at 5.7 yards per run. As we can see the overall picture is just fine but could be better.

The Ohio State running game can be better, when was the last time our two backs actually played together in a game? One or both always seem to be hurt. I believe earlier in the season those two backs were considered the best duo in College Football. We had a mental let down yesterday against NW the first half of football was just terrible, but as good teams always do they find a way to win even if its pouring rain and with 30-40mph winds. If we are blaming anyone for this first half let down than it has to be Ryan Day for not having the team mentally prepared.

The running game is everything when your playing good football teams. Balance is always good and his a must if we want to get out of the big ten this year.

Yes I agree it will take more than 7 games, yet a coach like Knowles isn't going to wait until 2026 to be called elite defense, as word continues and the results on the field continues to play out I see this defense being in the elite area by the middle of 2024. As per say the OSU defense is in the area code now with the ranking of #2 in total defense and if they hold on to the ranking the word elite will arrive in early January holding the natty. #GoBucks

Looks like Henderson has a deep thigh bruise from his hit during the game, normally a thigh bruise will linger for a couple weeks. As for all the talk about leading with the helmet, well that is what happen to Henderson the player lead with his helmet, so why no flag does anyone have any ideas as to why nothing was called for leading with the helmet?

Big Ten opener there will be just as much hype around the stadium as for ND. #BuckeyeNation Yes Bama tends to get most of the better players, yet so does OSU maybe not the same clip as Bama, but OSU usually gets two five stars per season and we need one and just maybe this is the guy, if the player is bringing his family its as serious as serious gets.
