That works, too, comes down to the same conclusion; this team doesn't have what it takes for post season play. Maybe a new coach could turn things around.

There's still the Little Dance, the NIT. But, that's an acronym for 'Not Interesting, Though.'
We'll see how he/they walk that talk. Meanwhile, the Lady Buckeyes; their walkin is doing all the talkin.
#4 It's official - Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022 Ohio State vs Georgia.
Get healthy, Be prepared, Beat the Bulldogs. GO Buckeyes!
It's about time. I think it's going to make for a very exciting new era in college football, with CFP upset wins more likely. If it were 12 teams now the Buckeyes would be in; also Alabama, Tennessee, Penn State, Clemson, and a few others.
It WILL be the 2nd team to make the CFP having lost, albeit, a close loss, in its conference championship. The only hope the Buckeyes have is if USC loses. Maybe, too, if the Horned Frogs were to be totally blown out. I'm resigned to them both winning, though. I'll consider it an early Christmas present if one or the other does fail and Ohio State moves up to the #4 CFP slot.
Imo, if TCU loses a close one to Kansas State, they're still in. Though a little less sure, I think the same about USC, a close loss to Utah, they could remain in the CFP. That said, I firmly doubt either will lose. I won't mind if proved wrong.
So, the Wolverines came into the Horseshoe collectively saying to themselves "We're gonna to beat you, and there a ain't nothing you can do to stop us."
" we are the John Cooper Buckeyes for as long as he’s here."
It's depressing thinking it could be just that. A lot of disappointments over the past few years, underachievement seemed the team's mo. And now, might as well accept this could be the program for the foreseeable future, years of it, over which mediocrity will come to be . . . what it is. Get used to it, and it will be less frustrating.
There are coaches. And there are pretenders.

It seemed rigor mortis had all but set in in the 2nd half. The coroner has been called.
As of now, with Henderson and Williams questionable, he could very well be the primary tailback vs Michigan. Being a freshman, that's a scary proposition. He's shown, albeit in relatively limited playing time and vs -all due respect- lesser opponents, he has what it takes to be a threat . . . . not to be taken lightly. But UM's defense will be nothing like he -and of course Stroud & Company- has been up against. I'm feeling a bit anxious about that prospect, but I'm more excited about the possibility Hayden having a truly breakout performance -thanks to a highly helpful, if not dominant, O-line-, along with CJ and his stable of thoroughbred receivers lighting it up . . . all for a BIG TIME VICTORY. How about this: Hayden outperforms Corum? We'll leave that up to our Defense to actualize.
I won't be shocked if they're switched. As much as I don't want to say it, especially here on 11Warriors, UM is looking like the better team right now. But, with The Game in Ohio Stadium, I believe "looking like the better team right now" won't be enough to keep the Buckeyes out of the BIG10 Championship. And, a likely CFP semi.
Looking like the Buckeyes could be little more than an appetizer for the Wolverines before the BIG10 Championship. Michigan is ready to celebrate, the Champaign has been ordered.
The last time the Buckeyes lost consecutive games to Michigan was 1999 and 2000.

It's certainly not negative, but I wouldn't say it's positive enough to jack way up anyone's expectations. Day does say he "thinks the Buckeyes could still achieve their goals without him." I'm going to continue believing he'll not play a key role in the next several games . . . until he does. I hope, like you, he does, starting this Saturday, or by the next game, or for the Maryland game the Saturday before Michigan.
A couple articles here -including coaches' ongoing assessments- over the past couple/few weeks have discussed that possibility, JSN maybe not being able to play this year. Though this current article does show a bit more confidence about his possibly contributing this season, it also does not outright dispel that outlook.
I think it's six wins in a row, not seven, since the Buckeyes loss in 2016 at Beaver Stadium.
A really, REALLY unnecessary post. The moderator is -reluctantly?- giving you a pass on it; I personally wouldn't be so forgiving.
GO Buckeyes!
I so hope I'm wrong, but I think 50-50 might be optimistic. We all know how much Jaxon wanted to play, to be a part of the success the Buckeyes are enjoying; he's probably disappointed about it. His future is bright, though, though maybe not much, if at all, with the Buckeyes. If we don't get to see any more Smith-Injigba play time with the Buckeyes this year, we'll be cheering him on in the NFL next year.
Not just any Bowl will do. Any NY6 Bowl other than the CFP's Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and PlayStation Fiesta Bowl, are, in all due respect, merely consolation. Buckeyes, there they will go, all the way, 15 and Oh.
His Holy, Karma, says, Buckeyes gonna pig out on Iowa Fowl.
Probably, but seeing a plausible #1 in front of Ohio State might provide some bit of compensation for those disappointed with (or disagree with) the AP and Coaches rankings. As I commented, personally I'm good with #2 and 3. Maintain that, those are we're-in-the-playoffs; what more do we need?
The AP has them at #2, that's fine by me; and the Coaches at #3, also okay. #1 in the Final Ranking, i.e., as the National Champion, is what ultimately counts. #2 or 3 now, good enough, #5, that would be worrisome. If you want to see a #1 ranking now, that's where Jeff Sagarin has them as of his most recent analysis: https://sagarin.usatoday.com/2022-2/college-football-team-ratings-2022/
