If Weiss goes out at UM, it really opens up the recruitment on jadyn Davis. He’s there lead guy in Davis recruitment so it’d be interesting to see what happens

To be fair, sueing has been in the program for 4 years. He’s been in college for 6 (2 years at Cal). Should be more consistent though.

Wildly disrespectful to put Days name in the same sentence as Holtmann. Day at least has shown an ability to coach and has much harsher expectations than Holtmann does.

He’s done a great job at Xavier so far. But that team had everyone coming back from the nit championship and was vastly underperforming under Steele. Always had a lot of talent and should have been an ncaa tournament team. His last 3 years at arizona were pretty bad with zero tournament appearances. Might have been because of the ncaa decision of penalties hanging over the programs head. I like him and think he’d be an upgrade over Holtmann but I don’t think he’s an out of the park home run type hire. Great recruiter though

Fickell killing it once again in the portal. Picked up usc transfer and former high 4 star wr cj Williams. He’s made his one area i questioned (his offense) a strength by updating his philosophy and hiring longo from unc. Wisconsin is going to be annual contender in the big ten now I bet. Scary team

This is such a bad take. The big 3 were here for one year. He was a top 3 basketball coach in the country for a nine year period. Had an absurd win percentage and consistently winning titles. It wasn’t a one year blip. He did it consistently and achieved every trophy except the national title.

Ewers wanted to go to college a year early because it also speeds up his nfl eligibility clock. He will be eligible to get drafted next year which wouldn’t have been the case if he waited to early enroll in January as you said.

Doubt we will ever have a run like prime matta again. That level of dominance was absurd, especially in big 10 play with the number of big ten regular season and tournament championships. He had an 8 year period where he won 9 big 10 titles! That’s absurd. Don’t expect that but one every 3 years I think is a reasonable expectation that Holtmann is failing miserably at.

Yeah I was the same when I kept saying Holtmann has zero trophies or tournament success to allow him any cushion. He’s got a great recruiting class next year so I lean towards giving him one more year but he needs finish solid at the very least this year. Should be on the hot seat next year if not this one.

I would probably take the points if I were a betting man. But we need this W. If we lose this game then I could see our season going off the rails and not making the tournament

Agreed. He plays up to the moment. Best games were against the best competition. Something our guys somewhat lacked and didn’t compete harder in the biggest moments (cough* Hickman cough*)

His career was kind of in the dumpster before poggi took him under his wing. Makes some sense that he wants to keep growing under him. Big miss for TTUN though as he was arguably there best pass rushing specialist 

Awesome news! Need to get cj hicks somehow onto the field though. Too talented not to be playing. Too much depth is never a problem though!

Going to be a real interesting season for the oline. Going to find out if Frye is quite the coach or not with his need to develop some guys this offseason. Our oline was pretty good this year and especially impressive in pass protection. But Frye wont have 2 top 10 tackles helping him out this year so we will get to his coaching prowess this year.

Yeah not sure what he was thinking. They always go to cover the guy that threw it in as he’s the easiest outlet. He should have known that would be taken away. He needed to try to dribble out of it and if worst comes to worst then call the timeout you have.

This is how guys should transfer. The guys been all class throughout his career and this process despite facing a lot of adversity from starter to zero snaps. Be a big time Mitchell fan for life and hope he balls out at UF and gets to the NFL!

Good qb to go along with the Oklahoma qb transfer they got earlier. But wouldn’t say one of the best qbs. Against his top teams he faced (cincy, Tulane, byu, TCU, ucf and Maryland) he had a td-int of 10-9. Balled out against the worst teams on the schedule. 

Yeah this seems like a no brainer. He’s got better stats than the Maryland guy did. And I bet would get us his brother too. Would be a win win as his brother seems to be favoriting Michigan so stealing him away would be huge too. Absolutely should try to pick him up.
