This was Strouds most week to week improvement by far. As others have said, the slobs are improving by leaps and bounds weekly and are already in the mix as the best in the country. Strouds performance was absolutely light years ahead of the Oregon game and we might have two Heisman contenders in the backfield? A few thoughts from today’s action.
* Alabama defense exposed, what a game plan and execution by a strong A&M
* TSUN looks very vulnerable on both sides of the ball.
* PU Franklin looks lost again, poor play calling on both sides of the ball. Some high school coach needs to give him some clock management instruction, AGAIN.
‘ Sparty showing signs of life but I’m just not convinced based on SOS.
‘ Iowa Great heart, as we learned a few years ago. Biggest takeaway for me was on D. Did anyone notice secondary running to the ball on coverage? Outstanding coaching the proper d back play, putting back in position to not only defend, but to raise chances of turnover. Not saying PU receiving Corp is on same level as ours, But very impressed with speed and positioning as ball arrives. Klatt said DBs were running routs better than PUs receivers. There’s only a few things better than watching Frankelstein get another one snatched away. PUs QB injury, I might be wrong due to me flipping games, never heard his injury update.
Overall, very very happy to see O starting to come together as a unit. Injuries on D hope Haskell is ok along with a few others can use bye week and are not to serious. Nice to see TE being utilized after years of under utilizing our talent, with all of the talent on our receiving corps THIS.
Linebackers, I had trouble keeping up with who Barnes is using on different looks and packages.
Sorry so long, suddenly looking like 2014 again, please no repeat of QB injuries again, which I think coach is purposely keeping Stroud on a short leash on RPOs exposing him to hits. If we let him loose look out. My question is about Georgia? I don’t have clue, legit?
Our future is bright and after the suffering 80s & 90s, this is truly the golden era to be a Buckeye!
