I got today’s on the third guess simply because while in no way shape or form related to Ohio State, indirectly, here recently it sorta is. I’ll remain that vague unless someone asks for more of a clue.

I mean I'm finding it hard to believe we get a search of home over using a Coach's email to send recruits messages.. That seems like a cut and dry thing that indeed would result in termination, however, don't see a search warrant for his residence being needed.  The illicit photos to unwanting females though.. Yeah probably gonna come after you a little harder.

I need the tea and details to be spilled on this ASAP! Lol. I know we've speculated a lot on what it could be.... And for the most part there is probably someone who's close to being on it... But can't wait to see the criminal justice system expose whatever it is that caused the termination.. Definitely not canning a guy over nothing.

I hate how true the comparison is.. How different does it feel if we actually cash in on a loaded 2015 roster. missed chance in 2019 with a defense that could've possibly competed with Joey B and the LSU boys and then won the one we were good enough to win this year.  4 Nattys since 2014 would put you near the apex.  Would've. Should've. Could've.. I am hopeful that once we get over the hump again with Day it catapults into rolling to a few more.

I hate Kentucky and TTUN with a burning passion that rages inside of me like an inferno of combustible nuclear gas.  But I definitely see your connection here.. I was far too young to recall 1992... But it does feel like Knowles in year 2 should get the defense in a better spot.. Especially with Tommy and Steele back.. We had some nice young pieces to play with in Styles and Hicks... Get Kourt back from injury... Carter coming in from Syracuse.. Don't want to sleep on Stokes either.. But assuming we get healthy reengages freshmen version of Burke and healthy Hancock.. I like us. Let Jack play opposite of JT... Lets run this ish back.

I'll second what Readnguy said. My bad. That being said.. Still working on today's.  I've had to revisit every hour or so at work.

Thanks for sharing that JWilly. There's something comforting about an OH exchange even in the midst of turmoil.  Similar situation comes to mind with an interaction I had in hospital elevator as we were visiting my wife's cousin who ultimately passed at University of Louisville Hospital a couple years ago.  The doctor was an Ohio State alum and we got to chat about our trips over the course of the last year to see the Bucks.

This had to be Gene reading the fan base and saying we need something to distract them from the misery that's being inflicted upon us with the men's team tailspin.  But glad to see it is the 15th!  Has fell on Easter weekend a few times.  Should be able to make this one with no issue.  Go Bucks!

Ahhhh.. I was on guess five... And hit a wall.. I thought for sure this was the place where Buckeye trees were planted for All Americans.  When that one didn't work I was like what the heck.

The Campbell Camels!!!! I thought they played Clemson recently is the only reason I got this.. I know they were a DI football program.. Thought they were FCS but apparently they're in the Big South... And google wasn't able to pull the Clemson game I was thinking of, so maybe I dreamed it.. But they did play Wake Forrest in the last couple years.

I don't vehemently disagree with anything commented.. And while I wasn't around to see the Eldon Miller days to compare, sounds very similar.. Here's where I'm at... 4 in a row with two losses being horrendous is quite maddening... Not being able to finish against UNC, Purdue and at Rutgers is irritating because it feels like this continues to be a problem.  I'll hold judgement until the end of the season when we can look at 2022-23 as a complete picture.. But if we end these last two months the way we have the past five seasons, we need better.  For four years of the Holtmann era I spend my days driving up to and home from Columbus... It is 4 hours each way as I live between Lousiville, KY and Nashville, TN... Many nights not getting home until 2 AM or 3... I love Buckeye hoops and I'll continue to follow them every step of the way... But this is too special of a place to settle for 1st round tourney exits and middle of the pack finishes in the Big Ten.  It isn't fair to put unreasonable expectations on the basketball as I feel some tend do.. But a perineal contender in the Big Ten and regular appearances in the Sweet Sixteen with an occasional Final Four is absolutely fair.

Huh? I was referring to the loss to UK we essentially were the undisputed #1 team in the country all year. I wanna say it was the 2010-11 team in the 2011 tourney. That team was a billion times better than Kentucky and somehow a stupid shot with 5 seconds or so goes in and beats us. Sully, Diebler, Lighty, Craft, Buford, D. Thomas… That team was loaded.

This is a fair post. I’m with you I’ve come off the 0% chance as well… I keep going back to something that Justin Fields was credited with saying to I believe CJ if I’m not mistaken. But essentially stated that being an NFL QB is awesome, however, NFL games aren’t what they were in college, there’s something unique about running out of the tunnel in front of 100,000… Also, Joey B talked about the environments in the SEC as still being unlike anything he’s played in front of before. I do think there is a component of this thing where he may be thinking… I’ve only got one go around at the college thing, I love where I’m at. Let’s give it another ride. Xavier Johnson coming back and not leaving for either another school with an NIL deal or trying his hand at a pro camp coming off an exceptional performance says something… And then you have the Kam Babb’s of the world… CJ’s in that same stratosphere of individuals… Just a guy who I think deeply loves his teammates and often gets misunderstood because his voice sometimes isn’t the loudest. I love CJ. One more ride with #7 would be amazing! But making the decision to leave is more than justified. You’ll always have a fan in me 7. Go be great in Columbus or beyond.

Comment 15 Jan 2023

It eventually came out that Justin had a graphic for both leaving and coming back… He too waited until the final day. Seems like CJ is in a similar spot. Taking all the time to make the decision.

Comment 15 Jan 2023

Correct. He’s not trolling anyone. I think this validates he’s mauling over the decision. I was at 0.01% chance he’d return for one last ride… I’m still in the camp that he’s going to declare. However, I actually think he’s genuinely entertaining chasing some goals wearing that Scarlet and Gray one more time.

Why down vote this, he put it in the Other College Sports category. That should’ve been the tell for me. Haha.

Comment 14 Jan 2023

I mean I get it… But maybe he always dreamed of being a Heisman winner or leading his team to a championship… I mean he had both those in the palm of his hand. You’d have to think one more run at both and they could be his. Having played college football myself for a university I didn’t grow up romanticizing, I stayed a year longer than I needed to complete my degree just so I could have one more season with guys I loved and make a few more memories with my roommates. A ton of various feelings to sort through. And NIL has added a component of being financially at peace if do opt to pass on the NFL.

That being said, I think the toughest thing to see is him returning without Jones or Johnson at the tackle position. If he did have a change of heart and decided ya know what one more ride in 2023, I wonder if that would impact either of those decisions.
