After four seasons with Ohio State, punter Michael O'Shaughnessy entered the transfer portal on Thursday.
I would like to thank my coaches, teammates, and all of the staff at The Ohio State University for an incredible 4 years as a Buckeye. With that being said and after deliberating with my family, I have officially decided to enter the transfer portal.

O'Shaughnessy didn't see the field much in his time at Ohio State but made his collegiate debut during the Buckeyes' 66-17 victory over Maryland on Oct. 9, 2021. In 2020, O'Shaughnessy was an OSU scholar-athlete and made the academic All-Big Ten team.
Jesse Mirco has been OSU's starting punter the past two seasons and is expected to start again for the Buckeyes next season, so O'Shaughnessy felt it was in his best interest to explore other options for his final two years of eligibility.
