I know there was a thread on this but I wanted to share my story from TTUN week personally.  It makes me physically ill to hear about fan behavior towards college athletes on social media… exactly zero fans should be tweeting athletes directly or insulting them On social media.  I think it’s largely our culture today as well as many of the these are anger for gambling losses…

I’ll say this - most of those Ohio State players are good kids - our family went through a lot this past year and through Cornelius Greene a few calls were made and on their way from the Blackwell to St John Arena the morning of the TTUN game - Kam Babb and JTT made a point to stop and give my daughter a big hug and pose for a quick photo - as that meant the world to my daughter.  Steele Chambers dad - also a very good guy spent time with my daughter that morning.  Kam Babb’s mom was very emotional when she heard about my daughter and insisted on meeting her that AM.  It was a moment we will never forget and absolutely genuine. Kam Babb’s testimonial to his faith really was a big deal to my daughter and these were moments - win or lose that transcend football and are the reason Ohio State Football has the tradition it has maintained for generations.  For 18-22 year old kids to have the maturity to do thing s so far beyond the football field when their mind is on a million other things to me is exceptional.  These players are a heck of a lot more mature than I was at their age and also - like me - not perfect.  But these kids work hard and do so many things as happened to our family that get little to no attention publicly.

I’m excited for our team and program for Saturday and I expect their best effort…
