These guys should just say they wanted to be closer to home. That’s usually what it boils down to. Well before NIL anyways. That will change things a bit

Milton is from Cali. But your point still stands for some others. And of course, none of them are gonna come out and say "Georgia promised me upfront/guaranteed money," but that's certainly the case too for some or maybe all of these dudes.

I think he is looking at it as GA especially the ATL area is a black business hub more than anywhere in Ohio. If that was part of his decision as a place to live outside of football I 100% respect his decision.

It's known that Ringo went there for the money and that it's how they beat us out for Damon Wilson. I don't think it's "out there" to conjecture that money was a factor for at least some of the other players. Seems silly to assume otherwise, honestly.
You excited to see your boys in the Rose Bowl?

If you listen to some of the SEC homers on social media, they try to tell you two different stories at the same time. One is they get the best recruits because the demographics of America is changing and more people are moving south. Then they’ll tell you if they miss out on a five star to a big ten team it’s, “oh we have a lot of smaller towns where our campuses are so some kids want to be in larger cities.” Talk about verbal gymnastics lol
Buckeye football isn’t every thing on Saturday. It’s the only thing on Saturday
Bring a bowl of peaches back to Columbus and send each of these players back to Athens with a bowl of buyers remorse and regret. They could have played for the winning team.
Go Bucks!
Time and change will surely show how firm thy friendship, O HI O.

It is just sad to me that $$ rules everything these days and the younger generations are ok with that. Just remember, you are selling your soul and once it is sold, you can't get it back.
I can guarantee you, Judgement Day won't be rigged
Money ruling everything isn't some new young generation thing its been around for thousands of years so stop saying it's new to this generation. You'd be dumb to not take millions right now cause the nfl isn't guaranteed and neither is tomorrow.
So many comments here about NIL money. Twelve months ago11W was celebrating the success of NIL and the umbrella organization and counsel setup by the university that was available to match interested parties. According to the stories here it was a roaring success.
So now a scant 12 months later we are apparently rubbing two sticks together and holding the program together with duct tape.
I for one don’t believe the sky is falling and to all readers and commenters here - does anybody have any actual facts about the amount of NIL money that is available here or anywhere else? Based upon the strict student privacy laws I sincerely doubt anyone outside of the legal department at a university has the facts. I am personally going to step back from reading the NIL stories until I see some facts- real facts, not alternate facts.
Just being in the top four for consideration, means a lot to me. The Buckeyes aren’t going anywhere here soon. I like the players we sign I could care less about the ones we missed on, or left. One man’s loss, is another man’s gain.
I have that feeling the Buckeyes are gonna show out tomorrow, it’s long overdue

Can you imagine being Kendall Milton and thinking you would have better business opportunities in Athen, GA over Columbus?!? Sheesh!

Could just be the mild winters in GA?
CBus love
Correct, Jonesteam04. And you can't argue with his logic one bit.
That is just a guess

I mean isn’t that also what singletary basically said regarding it being the best decision for his family?
Seems likely.

I want a nickle for every time I hear the words "was more comfortable" at the school. Assuming the translation is "more NIL money"
He is a business major?

Most already have a natty ring on their finger
So you're saying they're satisfied and won't play as hard because they want to avoid injury. Interesting Take.
Who?
Are you one of those guys who also says "next" when we lose a recruit?
Nope he just says #notelite like your boy Franklin
Yes. Next. What else is there to say that’ll matter?
It’s okay to say it, guys. Georgia just had a better NIL package than Ohio State.

It's okay to say it guys, EVERYONE has a better NIL package than Ohio State.

You just proved my point, thanks

Yet it's been a thing for thousands of years. Stop acting like you older generations wouldn't ever do something like this

could care less
just beat them and let them know sorry Charlie ...your dream ends now
I like folks who comment on the article, try to tell us they don’t care at all but state it incorrectly.
I enjoyed the article - thx for the write up.
I really hope we get Miguel Patrick back after he spreads his wings for a couple years.
I was thinking the same thing about Miguel Patrick. He was a force for us recruiting, esp in Georgia area.
"Put ya' weight on it"
He's going to UAB. https://247sports.com/Article/Ohio-State-football-assistant-Miguel-Patri...
