No kidding. We're not going to see the improvement we want to see on the defensive side of the ball if we don't start hitting on top CB targets on the recruiting trail. Get NIL figured out ASAP otherwise we're not landing any of these 5-star kids (they're all going to choose Alabama or Georgia).
You're spot on, almost posted something similar to this earlier today. The further behind we get on (key) 4 and 5 Star recruits, because NIL can't get figured out, the more likely it is we are going to fall behind. I'm glad we have integrity in the program and don't significantly over sign kids, it's a MUST to get NIL figured out ASAP. The very talented recruits are quickly figuring out "It's only about the money 100% of the time" (Kevin O'Leary - Shark Tank). It's the college football world we live in now, I don't like it, and the NCAA is dragging their feet on standardization - this needs to get figured out ASAP....
IT would also help if we'd stop putting all our eggs into the top basket only to miss out on the remaining 35 because they're all committed, and then have to rely on flipping a guy in November.
We've done that a couple times at say RB only to end up missing on our favorite recruit, and poof spots 2-20 are all committed elsewhere...nobody likes being sloppy seconds.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who see's these graphics and assumes the 2-3 schools with prime placement are the favorites, if I see Ohio State thrown in on the bottom left or whatever I'm like "yea he's not coming here". But if he's in the middle or left/right of center I'm like "so you're telling me there's a chance"

Wish we could get Kerry Combs back to coach and recruit 5 star cornerback and safetys . Guy could flat our recruit the best. After Hartline he was our absolute best recruiter.
Wait, he whiffed on Phillips, and we have 2 WR's starting at CB.... and his play calling sucked. I'm not saying he didn't have success under Meyer, but I wonder how much of that was UM and how much of that was KC....

I do not at all have the mind of a bully... in my mind bullies are intolerant of contrary opinion, domineering and rather cowardly.
It will be interesting to see if the Buckeyes' NIL can match the UGA, Bama, and FSU offers. Those DBs are commanding premium $$.
