Would be an ideal coach. He has the tenacity needed and provides an example of resiliency under extreme frustration that all young men could learn from. Best of luck.
Having someone encourage you in your weakest moments like we often saw Babb do for his teammates throughout his OSU career is something special. For Babb going from a top recruit for a program that is the pinnacle of the College Football world to having that dream ripped away from you due to injury your entire career and still finding a way to make meaningful contributions to the team instead of calling it quits will forever be a special achievement. Thank you Mr. Babb (I'm sure we have not seen the last of you).
I'm not finished! Before we let you leave, your commander must cross that field, present himself before this army, put his head between his legs, and kiss his own arse.
Pretty certain he’ll be successful at whatever he does. Would love to see him come back and work for the team somehow. Maybe become one of those leaders and mentors that coaches the team psychologically
He's a special young man. Heart of a lion. Whatever's the next chapter, or wherever life takes him, he'll be successful. People like him are why I watch CFB.
"What happened today in this stadium was magical. That’s what college football means to a lot of people. Not everybody, but to a lot of people," Day said. "That’s one of the reasons why college football is special. It’s one of the reasons why you coach – to see something like that happen. Hopefully there’s somebody else out there that’s going through tough times that can see that as a motivation to overcome."
I think he's just saying that for some people, college football is about genuine brotherhood. For others, it may be "win at all costs" and don't focus on culture or at least don't allow that kind of stuff to get in the way of the primary objective. I wonder how many programs would've allowed Babb to develop and contribute in the unique way that he did. I mean, Bama is known for processing players. Think they would've given him as many chances to succeed as OSU did? Or would he have been considered a dead weight?

Best of luck to him! He's been an inspiration to lots of people dealing with injuries and adversity. Look forward to hearing what's next for him in life and I'm sure he will be successful at it, whatever it may be.
He's always seemed like a great young man. Best of luck to him the next chapters of his life.
My aim, then, is to whip the Weasels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom. - William Tecumseh Sherman (with apologies)
Proud to have him as a Buckeye and wish him the best whatever he decides to do.. would be great to keep him on in some capacity at Ohio State.. His determination and faith will get him far!
While not a record breaking career, he has still served as an inspiration to his teammates and others with his determination and effort. There's a reason he's been voted Captain. I'd like to see him move into coaching but whatever he chooses he'll be successful.
I was at the Indiana game and that was one of the coolest moments I've ever seen. Congrats to Kam on the moment he had and the great attitude which will serve him well his entire life.
With his and Stroud's departures, looks like the team is at 87 scholarship players now according to the 11W chart, but that also doesn't include Parker Lewis. Does this mean that they'll have to have 2 more players leave to get to 85? Or is the Covid extension still in play for the guys using their extra eligibility?
I hope that they find a role for him as a GA or staff role (Hartline needs a new WR assistant) like Ryan Stamper used to have in player development. Or maybe Mick finds a role for him in S&C. That is... IF Babb wants to stay around the sport and at OSU. He may just want a fresh/clean start altogether.
For a player who did very little on the statistical side of things, this kid had a HUGE impact with his teamates! He will forever be one of my favorite BUCKEYE players! Best of luck #0! Pease be with you young man!
Kam is a fine young man with character of the highest caliber, with the mental fortitude that very few people on this earth possess. Whatever he does in life, I'm quite certain he'll succeed. Participating in team sports can teach you a lot about people and yourself. That TD catch he had against Indiana, and seeing the entire team go crazy, that tells you that he was INCREDIBLY well-liked and respected. I cheered so loudly on that play. He never gave up. He is an inspiration to a lot of people, and I would love if he came onto our staff as a GA.
Funny how things go sometimes... The guy catches one single unspectacular TD during a game that was pretty much done.... but that moment really was one of the best highlights for the season as far as I'm concerned, probably one of the things we'll remember for many years. Good luck young man!
The ESPN writer who does the college football wrap up, David Hale, did a nice piece on Babb's touchdown. I reached out to thank him for his positivity, and he was exceptionally nice in his reply. It's easy to bash on ESPN, but there are some good ones. His bit about it doesn't hold a candle to the Ramzy article (to be fair what could?) but it is worth a really quick read.
I'll never forget the true joy on his face when he caught that ball and even more I'll never forget the true happiness on the face of all those who loved him.
The highlight of my season this year was getting the chance to talk with Kam and his family after the MD game. Such a fine young man. He will do great things!
It be pretty damn cool if Day and Co. came up with a new Buckeye award and call it Kam Babb resiliency award for someone going through very difficult times (looking at a certain Olineman going through a very difficult time at the moment). Call me sappy, but what a great way to reward individuals for the toughness and grit. Seems like a good idea to me...

Best of luck to him going forward. I have no doubt that he will be successful in life in whatever he does.

Doggone people cutting onions again?
It doesn't matter whether you're the lion or a gazelle-when the sun comes up, you'd better be running.
I have a feeling (or hope, at least) that his career at Ohio State is far from over
Unselfish to the end

For some reason this bums me out more than any of the other departures.

Best of luck and I hope he stays connected to the team in some way. Inspiring individual!
Thank you, and good luck, young man.

What degree(s) did he leave with? Five years can get you a lot of valuable education, since sports is beyond him.

Bs in Strategic Communications, MS in Sports Marketing , seems like a perfect guy down the road to help build a PROPER NIL fund
Hopefully that means we can be done with having to hear from Brian Schottenstein
Jay_sizzle - that may be the best Buckeye idea I've heard in a while. That would be perfect!

Gave us the best moment in college football last season.
Thank you Kamryn!
Go Bucks!!!

the 'feel good' story of 2022, hands down...he's already a success, and this will continue throughout...God speed, young man
Faster, tougher, and more violent...
Well that just made my day. Much respect for Kam and good luck during the next phase of your journey.
Wish him nothing but the best. I wonder if he would ever consider coaching? Seems like a leader and the type of person that will bless many lives.

It might have been just one play, but it leaves one helluva legacy.
Godspeed, Kam Babb - thank you for all you've given.

Enough talk.
Day saying, not everybody in that quote seems weird. Why would he say that at that moment. And I like Day, but that struck me as strange.
Go Bucks!
Are you referring to this quote? :

That was my take as well. For many it is only "win" deep.
I don't buy one goddam drop of gas in the state of Michigan!
Many best wishes
vacuuming sucks
Best WR TD percentage in Buckeye history.
In all seriousness, seems like a hard worker and a great leader. Hopefully has a bright future ahead of him
Best of luck to Kam. Always a Buckeye
When telling the truth becomes a revolutionary concept, it’s wise to join the revolution
I feel we hear from him going forward. Best of luck young man.
What could have been if not for injuries great hands. Was he the one that caught that pass from Haskins vs Michigan?
Denny
No--that was Austin Mack
Faster, tougher, and more violent...
Hmm, didn't I hear that he blocked a punt against those guys? :)

You heard right!
I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late.

His future is gonna be amazing. Wishing him the best in whatever he pursues.
Always try to look for the positive ........... in the midst of a crisis !!
future WR Coach at Ohio State would be just fine...!
Or even some kind of noncoaching role such as a chaplain or other support role.
Negativity is a choice I seldom make. Everything has a positive spin. Sometimes you simply have to look a little harder
Good luck to one fine young man. What a fighter! God has plans for you, Kam. You will be great at whatever you are called to do.

Get him on staff!

Day loves him a good grudge so if I'm never going to forgive Tom Allen for not declining the false start penalty you can bet Day won't either.

whoever the atheist is down voting every comment that mention God or faith i think you missed one ...not including this one ...Good luck Mr Babb ...

Best part of season thanks for sharing what a great person .
Rudy ain't got $#!+ on Babb.
New Day for OSU. Same noon for TTUN.
Sounds like a great future pastor somewhere he can make a difference in young kids lives. Great Buckeye.

Round on the ends and "HI" in the middle. O-HI-O.
Well, since Hartline got promoted to OC. There might be an ideal opening for the next Zone 6 coach.
Time and change will surely show how firm thy friendship, O HI O.
Blessings, Kam. And thank you.

Good luck young man. Glad you got that score this year.
All that work for a view from the sidelines - completely understandable.
