Does anyone know how much of their OL returns next year? And if they have any high-impact transfers to the OL like they did last year with the center from UVA?
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
Michigan brought in several OL from the portal, I know one was a starter at Stanford....Not sure how good they are at this point or if they'll make a big difference.
Nugent from Stanford likely plug in at center, not Oluwatimi, but should be good. Also got a G/T from Arizona State that some folks thought would have been drafted, so he should help. Another project type tackle from Stanford that has several years of eligibility. Not necessarily thinking he'll play right away. Hayes & Olu off to the draft. Still waiting on Zinter & Keegan to make up their minds. Line should still be good. May take a little step back, but I would be surprised if it's significantly worse. Lots of younger guys got run this year with injury situations and looked promising.
Myles Hinton is the project type tackle. His brother Chris played at Michigan, and for Myles it came down to Stanford and Michigan. With the coaching changes at Stanford and the performance of the OL at Michigan, his transfer makes sense. He also has good bloodlines: his father Christopher Hinton, Sr. played OT for the Indianapolis Colts, and is in the Colts "Ring of Honor." If he can be "coached up," it is a win-win situation. He massively improves his potential draft stock. And Michigan adds yet more OL depth.
Disagree with that one....It was Corum that could turn 2-3 yard gains into 5-6 yards or more. Edwards was more of the home run threat, but Corum was much better between the tackles.
I wonder what kind of rushing attack Shane Beamer will deploy next season at Michigan? I view Corum as a Tyler Hansborough type career - really good in college, cup of coffee in the league then out.
As a running back you have to get in the league as soon as possible to get the clock ticking on the second contract. He isnt going in the first round so he can sign a 4 year deal and begin working on deal number two.
Other positions you may have a point but coming back to Mich and getting 20 carries a game does not bode well for his future at the position.
Corum making a bad decision. Any good running back should get to the NFL ASAP. As much as TTUN runs him, another year of taking hits in college will only hurt him come NFL draft day.
That was my thought as well. The only thing I can think of is that he has yet to play an entire season healthy so maybe he coming back to try and give that a shot? Due to his size and injury history, I have a hard time seeing him go before the 3rd round. I could be wrong, but regardless this is really big for Michigan.
I think he's missed 3 total games for them so I don't know exactly how one can talk about injury history as that's quite low for a workhorse, Edwards seemed to have more of an injury history so far.
I thought even with his great season low 3rd round was his ceiling.
You may be right, for some reason I thought he was hurt off and on I guess it would be during his sophomore season. Could be wrong since I don't follow them that closely lol

Tommy Eichenberg is more than happy to plant Corum in the turf in '23.

Although he is a great person off the field, https://www.si.com/college/2021/11/22/blake-corum-nil-money-distribute-thanksgiving-turkeys-michigan I hope he loses every single game next season. However, once he goes to the nfl, I won't care as much because he is such a great player. (Even if he went to TTUN)
My grandma could average 4 yards per carry behind that O-line. They seemed more effective with Edwards as RB1.

Appreciate the intel from the various UM fans responding.

I'm going to give people turkeys but first let's get those cameras in here.

I wonder, with NIL and an NFL draft grade being outside the 1st round, if coming back to school makes more sense for some of these players now?
I was thinking that same thing. I'm still surprised to see him come back, he had such a great year i figured he would have capitalized on that.

When we win we will not plant a flag in AA......because we have class.
Go Buckeyes!
Can we at least tear down that stupid m club banner before the game?
