A fantastic first step! Also a very good passer with the ability to change defenders position up top to get lanes! Her only true issue is once she starts driving she is going so hard any pass attempt come off poorly!
The ability of the team to switch from half-court basketball with their formidable post and 3 point shooting to run the lanes and score if incredibly fun to watch!!!

Actually what is creepy is these female athletes making money off NIL not on their sport, but on their bodies. Exhibit A. The twins who play bball for Fresno State. They are not getting NIL money for their notoriety on the court. At least Sheldon is great at her craft and a well deserved All-American.
So pumped they won AT LSU! And it was great to see that with ten seconds left and a huge lead and LSU backing off the ESecPN announcers finally figured out "well, credit to these Buckeyes. They've come in here and played a great game." #brilliantAnalysis They were practically crying that LSU couldn't come back and win it. #losers
Pretty physical game, but the Lady Buckeyes stayed tough. Wonder for which team Joe Burrow was rooting (I mean it looked like a football game at times).
Great win but have to say I was screaming at McGuff for calling off the full court press. LSU was struggling to get into an offense fighting the press then he calls it off at the 8 minute mark. LSU then goes on a run that made the game at the 3 minute mark much closer than it should have been. And the officials, well, they sucked. Called a completely different game in the second half. Even some of the calls against LSU were head scratchers.
On to the Sweet 16 and Texas!

I got no issue calling off the full court press to keep from risking fouls and quick buckets, but should have played some sort of zone since LSU is a horrendous 3 point shooting team.
Agree with all points. LSU couldn't handle the backcourt pressure. Even when it didn't force a turnover, it didn't let LSU ever get comfortable. It would be nice if our other bball coach could figure that out.
Every living OSU fan has a winning record against TTUN.
Great to see the Lady Bucks committed to playing tough defense. That had been an issue for many years. There is no reason why OSU shouldn’t be a top ten program in women’s hoops. Just need to find a way to keep the great Ohio talent home. Go Bucks!
There are outstanding women's players in the state of Ohio! Fortunate to catch several of the high school elite 8 and final matches! Listening commentators listing the schools they are going to was a bit frustrating!!!

Congrats on the win. I didn't see this one coming especially in a hostile environment against the higher seed in their building. A well played game by the Buckeyes, knocking down ten (10) 3-pointers...just need to do a better job of breaking the press at the end to seal the deal and put the game out of reach sooner.
Just terrible officiating. Clearly letting LSU get away with some terrible fouls and calling ridiculous fouls on OSU. So blatant and announcers said nothing. This needs to be sent to the league.
I hope our ladies shook the hands of the Tigers. When the broadcast cut away they were still celebrating and it was a decent bit of time after the whistle.
They do not do a handshake line for womens basketball this year for some reason. Did not do a line in the Missouri State game. Coaches might do what we saw tonight or a wave across to each other.
Maybe decided after the Juwan Howard thing that it is best to keep them separate!

I'll be honest, I haven't watched a womens bball game in quite some time. I was very impressed by the pace of play. Maybe it was just this game in particular but man-o-man, bucket, inbound pass, up the court they went. Exciting to watch. It helped that the LadyBucks were kicking butt and draining 3s. The SEC was at play down the stretch with some of those calls/non-calls, for sure.
My first time watching the lady bucks in a few years.. i was soo impressed! To be able to go into a hostile environment where the officiating wasnt on your side. Against a physical team at that.. veryyy impressed!! I could give praise to every lady who touched the court so i wont do that but the energy, will and determination of this team was impressive! Ill be sure to watch every game they play going forward. Theyve made a fan out of me!!
I watched the game and was commenting on the open thread as well - but I hope Buckeye fans of the mens basketball team as well took a hard look at what guard play really looks like because that has been missing with the mens team - the point guard (Sheldon) was outstanding! Along with the other guard the shooter -Mikesell- what a pair. Then the big girl the center - Mikulasikova - stepping out and hitting those 3’s, handling the ball - all that is exactly what Holtmann doesn’t have on the mens team!!!!!

Winning while committing 20 turnovers and allowing 13 steals is impressive. 33 lost scoring possessions should be a bit concerning. Hope they get that under control before Texas game.

I was curious and looked it up, and tbf to them they average like 20 points and 15 points so at least they are good at basketball too.
