The team played their asses off and the coaches did their best. I honestly didn’t think they keep it to within 10 points of Georgia but I’m glad I was wrong. What a game. Stroud absolutely proved the doubters wrong. I didn’t think he’d run as much as he did but I give credit where it’s due.

I just rewatched that targeting reversal - it may not have changed the outcome - but how that was not ruled targeting is criminal.
I hate the targeting rule to begin with because of the way it is enforced or not and the replay officials must be required to start drinking 4 hours before the start of a game. It is so ridiculous.

I've got question marks behind Notre Dame, Purdue, Penn State, Wisconsin and of course TTUN. Anything over seven wins consider the season a success.
Doesn't look good. We play that ttun on their field and McCarthy is only going to get better. Psu always plays us tough. Notre dame in south bend with a talented QB (hartman) will be a big challenge right off the bat. I could see 3 losses next year depending on our QB play.

No disrespect to TCU, but last night was the championship game. Georgia was beaten on the field and couldn’t explain how they actually won after the game. Next year may be a rebuilding year but the Buckeyes have enough younger guys with the experience of playing in that game and others watching from the sidelines to provide plenty of motivation to win. I don’t see that much of a letdown.
Kirby was backhandedly disrespectful post game talking about how bad his team played over and over but they still got the win anyway. I don’t think Kirby is any more classy then the low bar set by the rest of the SEC coaches

Problem for OSU and several other teams is even with a down year, say three losses. OSU would be paired up in a bowl game with a competitive SEC team who probably won’t have have many guys opting out. OSU Will have a Lot of guys opting out because of NFL talent. Would a team like LSU or a two loss Bama or Georgia have guys opting out? Not as likely as Ohio State. So they really will have no gimmies in any bowl games
