For those wondering why a player you think should be here is missing, they also had a rule that if a player missed 5 games or more by Week 15 they weren't eligible to be listed.
To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.
I lean Bosa / Young just because sacks are so fun to watch. However, at the end of the day the discussion feels like "how big of a hammer would you like to hit yourself in the head with".
Negativity is a choice I seldom make. Everything has a positive spin. Sometimes you simply have to look a little harder
Considering losing Harrison in Semis (so lost both in critical time), if we still had Njigba OSU wins that game and Natty. Also having Njigba vs UM could be a difference although he doesn't play defense.
Having Njigba the entire year completely changes how well our offense works because we'd have two bonafide WR1s, the best two in the country, vs just one and some guys that are pretty good. The drop off from JSN/Harrison to Egbuka/Fleming is a lot bigger than people think.
Young/Bosa would have been a sight to see, but that defensive secondary was so bad I don't think it changes the outcome of that season significantly.

I wish that OSU could have cloned the Bosa brothers and Chase Young. That trio always showed up for all four quarters of a big game. In 2022, the defensive line quit against SCUM and GA in the fourth quarter.
Go ahead and vote me down, but he abandoned Buckeye nation. Not saying he should have played through his injury, but he could have at least stuck around instead of leaving for California to “rehab”.
Or would having him around and reporters always asking about him have been a distraction for the guys actually practicing and playing.
if he can’t play and he wasnt going to be back the following year anyway, he did what was best for both him and the team by heading out and taking care of his own business. It also let coaches work with the guys that were there and going to be the following years as well.

My gut tells me only one of these statements is true. I avoid giving dvs like the plague (and not doing one here) but this is a really bad take.

I sometimes wonder if the 2018 season would've looked a little different with Nick in the picture. Oh well.
Wish him the best. Dude is an animal.

Which lost opportunity hurts more to think about: Bosa / Young or Harrison / Njigba? Any I'm missing?

Oh man, tough call. I dunno.

It doesn't matter whether you're the lion or a gazelle-when the sun comes up, you'd better be running.
RK84 - good call!

Braxton Miller final year at QB, man what could have been
BB - I'd acknowledge that's a great point but I'm just too damn sad now you brought it up.

He'd be more successful if he'd finally start hitting the gym.

Blaming the defensive line for either of those games just proves you didn't actually watch the games.

Awesome news. Congrats to Nick. Would love to see Buckeye alumni playing in playoffs throw up an O-H after a big play.....
CBus love

So you mean like attending the bowl game with the team and cheering them on? Because he did that.

Unlike the post to which you replied, this is a good take.

So it seems that the players became so frustrated with sportswriters (picking All-Pro teams) that they set aside money to pick their own All-Pro team.
Makes one wonder about the value of the AP college polls are in both football and basketball.
