I had my doubt about McGuff, but OSU being undefeated w/o Sheldon and Greene has eliminated the doubt. Give him credit for adapting to the personnel he has on the court. McGuff saw last year he had a fast team and implemented full court pressure that has worked to near perfection. It carried over to this year and he has added the necessary piece (Cotie McMahon) to make it even better. Taylor Mikesell's quick release when shooting the ball is special.

After watching the recent game in Lincoln against the Huskers, it's a miracle they are 18-0........They allowed TWENTY-ONE offensive rebounds and turned the ball over more than Nebraska did.........Coach of the year for McGruff?.....I think not.........They still have plenty to work on and if they play like they did at NE they will get bounced out in the first round of the NCAA......Keep your turnovers to less than 15 per game and hit your foul shots and you have a real shot at a national title.........
Teams are going to have games like that. The reason they moved to #2 is because Stanford lost at home against an unranked USC.
To me the only team right now that appears to be a dominate team is South Carolina. The only game they have played where they won by 6 or less was beating Stanford in OT by 5.

She's the key and will be the difference between a deep tournament run and an earlier exit. With her, teams have a much more difficult time with OSU's press. Without her, the press is good, but not exceptional.
The game with Iowa next week has all the earmarks of being an epic battle.
These two teams have a long history of great games that have determined Big Ten titles, going all the way back to the late 1980s. Several times they played before record crowds, both in Iowa City and Columbus. I expect this game to draw a big crowd as well.
Of all the teams in the Big Ten (the original members), Ohio State's series against Iowa is most likely the closest. The Buckeyes have dominated most of the series against league foes, with Iowa being the one exception.
To think they are undefeated after having Greene and Sheldon go down is almost unfathomable. There have been many who have stepped up, and those minutes will prove to be invaluable down the home stretch of the schedule. The win at Nebby wasn't pretty at all, but in the end the talent won the game when it mattered the most. Good teams win games like that....mediocre teams lose games like that. Huge difference.
