At this point we probably want chalk to win as to not upset status quo. UGA and TCU winning is probably ideal.

(Obvious exception being Michigan.  Hope they lose by 100 and let chips fall where they may.)

I’m not completely over The Loss of last week, but THE is deserving of a shot in the CFP. Only 5 plays make the difference.

Coach Day, just forget about the freakin’ bubble screen and get the ball to Route Man Marv and Egbuka and the rest takes care of itself. And who knows? Maybe Jaxon decides to make an appearance for old times sake?

Happy to be Buckeye this morning.

Those 5 plays equaled 360 yards for TTUN.  Absolutely crazy.

In a perfect scenario, chalk wins today, we play and beat Georgia, Michigan plays and beats TCU and then we get the rematch in the final..

But... ESPN is going to be putting so much pressure on people in and around the committees orbit, for two outcomes. TCU not in the final game, and a guaranteed rematch of The Game..I also think after no one watched last year, they'd prefer a non all B10 final...

Both of those things are easier to do in the first games. Georgia would have the best odds at beating TCU, and you could guarantee the big ratings/advertising payday with the rematch.. and then get SEC vs B10 in the final..

The committee won't have any wiggle room if straight chalk happens.... but the door opens ( imo) if TCU loses, or maybe if Michigan just steamrolls Purdue and Georgia wins like 13-10 on a last second FG, they could move Michigan up to #1.. also, the obvious.. TCU and Michigan win and Georgia loses... that would work as well...

I'm just glad it looks like we are going to have a seat at the table...

Go Bucks!!!!

I hear what you’re saying, but there is not much room for finagling by the committee. If UGA loses, they should drop down. If TCU loses, they should drop down. But if all three win, even if UGA squeaks by LSU (which is still much higher ranked than Purdue is), the top 3 spots are pretty well locked in.

The ESPN bashing is tired and not accurate. Nobody from ESPN has a spot on the selection committee and any influence they might have would be in placing OSU in the playoffs over TCU and, arguably, USC.

TCU looked better vs Texas than did Alabama.  The refs gave Alabama that game on referre calls and the golden Mullett was injured.  TCU is in over Alabama even with a loss.  Then we get our friends up north in the playoffs.  Gotta love them for planting a flag in our Horseshoe.

I agree that TCU is in over Bama even if they lose today, but if TCU were to get embarrassingly blown out, things could get interesting.

you mean the game where Bama had like 15 first half penalties? That game?

I hope we face Michigan in round 1. That’s the game where the players want a redo. If we win it would keep Michigan out of the playoff win column. What is Michigan gonna do different they already think JJ McFratboy is the next Tom Brady. They are probably gonna throw more and I think we will be ready. We sure as heck ain’t gonna do the same thing.

And suddenly for some inexplicable reason, the games aren't at the top of my list today.

Is Heather Dinnich the kiss of death?

I'm not superstitious, so I would only go so far as to say that a kiss from Dinnich would taste and feel lie death.

Root for Purdue. Be pleased when Michigan wins.

Many hope we face Michigan in first round. I do too. That way we can see once and for all if coach day can actually coach or if he is what we thought he was. Yes I'm still salty about last week. That won't change until day shows that he can truly coach up to the talent he has on his team.

That's right, that's right, we bad
