Thanks for sharing that JWilly. There's something comforting about an OH exchange even in the midst of turmoil.  Similar situation comes to mind with an interaction I had in hospital elevator as we were visiting my wife's cousin who ultimately passed at University of Louisville Hospital a couple years ago.  The doctor was an Ohio State alum and we got to chat about our trips over the course of the last year to see the Bucks.

I’ve been fortunate enough to the the vet for the entire Hubbard family (Sam, mom, brother, sister). They’re all such kind, gracious and amazing people. The love coming Sam’s way couldn’t go to a better person and family. Go Bucks!

Very cool stories here. It's great how our Buckeye fandom can unite and even comfort us in the most difficult of times.

Good story Jwilly. How is your mother?

Sadly the strokes kicked her Alzhiemers/Dementia into high gear. We knew she was showing signs but it got much worse. She passed in 2017.

Very sorry for your loss. Losing a parent sucks, not a fun club to be in.

Just win baby

Went through the same thing with my Mom. Strokes, dementia and her passing. Never get over it.

Shows that Sam comes from good parents and he is obviously a high character guy. Would have been even more of a star if his time at OSU did not overlap with the Bosa brothers.

Now where is the thread about Desmond Howard's mother?

My uncle worked for a long time at UC as a nurse and worked along side her. He was a long time Bengal hater, but now a big a fan of Sam and by proxy the Bengals.  He said nothing but nice things about her as well.  Also, UC Medical is fantastic.  Living in NKY and having to deal with the Monopoly that is St E is unfortunate, the care given by UC is FAR superior.

These stories are both heart warming and sad for me. We lost my mother in law in 2019 to dementia and recently lost my father in law who was 99 years old. He was in WWII and the stories were awesome! They were married for 57 years and played such a viral role in my life since my mother had already been gone for over 30 years. This is why I come here! O-H!
