Agree. Pre-B1G championship game the Buckeyes were a different team. A really good team, that was getting better every week. But the team that played those last three games was at a different level. Cardale passing was one thing, sure. But him being in there cut down on the designed QB runs which unleashed Elliot as the primary runner. It feels like the offensive dominance let the D play more aggressive and rested as well. It'd be interesting to see the SP+ for just the post season games. I guarantee that ours was the best.

I am confused by the focus on Knowles defense. Every team in the CFP gave up over 40 points. GA was 1 point away from losing to us and gave up 500+ yards to a 2 loss LSU team in their last game. TTUN gave up 51 to TCU! There are moments you'd like back and hindsight where you'd change things, but it seems like our D is pretty much on the same level as every other top team facing a top offense. Especially with a month to prepare.

Couple of other comparative stats. Stroud has 0 fumbles, Hooker has 4. Stroud has been sacked 4 times, Hooker has been sacked 9 times. Goes to pocket awareness and processing speed being an edge for Stroud. Also a reminder that for all the debate about him as a runner, Stroud is by no means a statue in the pocket.
