I hit the panic button two years ago after the loss to Oral Roberts in the tourney, watching Holtmann team's now is like taking the business end to a one-sided contest of Roshambo. What's even more disappointing is this was a promising/talented team, but as mentioned in the article the January collapes are a problematic trend every year. Maybe instead of sending fraudulent/cryptic tweets; Brian Schottenstein should put his money where his mouth is and ask Geno how much money will it take to send Holtmann packing
I ended up enjoying it, up until Holtmann repeats one line, like "win the possession" then tails off and an assistant has to step in and actually coach. Team has tuned him out too, late game TO, Holtmann called a set, that if they made a basket for them to full court press and Justice just jogs back to the other end of the floor. No sense of urgency or energy plagues this team and we've seen this now from Holtmann teams every year, just a waste of talent and a waste of another season.
Pretty easy blueprint for beating this team, apply basic full court pressure and watch them implode
On top of terrible coaching and execution down the stretch, we are awful under 4TO going into half every game under Holtmann, 5 years of the same shit, blowing leads, poor shots/sets, lapses on D and TOs. Just so frustrating seeing Holtmann waste a talented roster yet again.
That's on Holtmann, kept trying to go to Key on the block in the 2nd half, and it didn't work once, got away from pushing tempo which worked well in the 1st half and then failed to guard the inbound on either set by UNC to end regulation, no one helped on the full court press leaving Thornton by himself, basketball, like football, fails to make proper halftime adjustments, disappointing but regroup, because I really like this team, just let them play coach
Really enjoy his game, reminds me of Kris Jenkins, from Villanova, similar build, good athleticism, maybe not elite but get their own shot and score at all three levels, and Brice may have a higher ceiling
Makes me a little nervous, I'm with everyone, hate ESPN, but unless the CFP rights get opened up and the playoffs get rotated to other networks, could leave B1G on the outside if they don't profit financially for their inclusion, we all saw how ESPN treated the NHL for years until they got the broadcast rights back last year
I think the more interesting question to ask the players is "What school would you kick out of the B1G?"
While disappointing, we know what he is doing, playing up to Domers and recruits, and is anyone talking about him or ND without this comment/letter? ND and OSU recruit a lot of the same players, this is the political games that happen in CFB, it's up to Ryan Day and Co. to fire back
Harrison-Pilot sounds like it should be the name of a Jefferson Airplane tribute band, and I don't know if I've seen/heard a recruit talk about interest in seeing TBDBTL, thats a cool and unique perspective
Johnny is spot on with the run game, with CJ refusing keep/run on the read option, the DEs just crash down on Trey each time, get some misdirection or perimeter plays and then come back to in-between tackle runs, get the Ds eyes to go somewhere else, definition of insanity right now with the run play calls
Major markets don't give a damn about college football, they are all pro sports cities, population shift is to the South and look at the TV ratings. The top college football TV markets are all in the south, with the exception of Columbus
Half measure, $EC will counter by poaching Clemson, USC, State Penn and Miami or even Nebraska and leave the remains for these elitist academia people up here who are trying to deminish/dissolve collegiate athletics. If OSU keeps trying to be a good "partner" to the B1G they will get left behind nationally and overlooked by elite recruits in the future. The south/$EC doesn't give a shit what we do up here, they think and right now they are the superior football region/conference and they will create their own title system and won't think twice.
Big Ten, Pac12 and ACC should merge, create a 20 team super conference with the elite programs from each, call it the MAP conference , Midwest Atlantic Pacific, and out flank those hillbillies in the south
Colin in a landslide, the 10% of votes going to Dan is just him going to different computers to recast his vote
This would be awesome for my hometown, its taken some hits the latest with UU closing, really hope this goes through as the facilities on campus are solid, newish football stadium and good space for this concept, and would hopefully provide a much needed boost for that community
This team has taken years off my life with their inability to close out games, fortunate scUM forgot about Dickinson on the last possession, glad we won, but man this act is getting old
Quite putting the ball in Duane's hands at the end of games, he is a terrible decision, TO or forced shot waiting to happen
JJ all Grays #1 and its not close, and what jackwagon on the staff voted those 6?! Did he give his vote to Daboo?
"You could get a good look at a referees ass in the last 2 minutes of the game, but I would rather take the announcers word for it"
430 tip is the sports version of the blue-plate special at Perkins
The presidents and chancellors are the ones who hired him, this fits exactly what their agenda was/is, the majority wanted to cancel the season, this gives them more opportunities to say, " I told you so" like the arrogant, sanctimonious pricks they are
Hate to admit, but the Whiteout is legit, didnt really recognize the missing fans last week for a noon snoozer, but this weeks atmosphere will be remarkable noticeable without the sauced-up Whiteout/crowd
Time to hit up Vegas 11W staff, 52-17 final
Add Dre'mont Jones to the list
