Does NIL really effect BBall players as much bc of one-and-done? NIL would be more to keep them from declaring pro. Especially for Bronny.... realistically, he could sign with UA, Nike, Adidas, Gatorade, Powerade, etc... no matter what school he goes to. So any endorsement deals, especially with LeBron's connections, are still beneficial to the major companies.

Cam McCormick was the class of 2016 eligible until 2024.... So you're saying class of 2018 Kam Babb should have eligibility until 2025?
Wouldn't the "aTm" shorthand be more appropriate?
On a side note, can we get 11W to have an ongoing section dedicated to the walk-ons? Some kind of non-scholly grid, running snap count/contribution, etc... We've had Xavier Johnson, CJ Saunders, Jon Thoma to name a few. With NIL now in the picture, maybe we can get some under-ranked players that WANT to be a Buckeye can get a little more incentive to choose to PWO and earn a scholly after they enroll. Help get them some recognition, publicity, etc to have a starting point to get marketed or self-promote.
If unbiased and truly objective.... in that scenario, #1 OSU, #2 TCU, #3 USC, #4 Clem. Unless it was a total blowout start to finish by LSU over UGA, UGA will still be ranked ahead of LSU with a head to head loss. Then its down to the 4 1 loss teams for #3. USC would have the Ore game comparison, the conference title, and comparable record (loss to Utah vs loss to LSU, tn vs ucla, nd/ore st vs miss st/socar) with UGA. Clem would have conf title and record with USC but the level of competition along with the ND comparison would put USC over Clem. USC will have conf title and level of competition over UM. Leaving the #4 to compare Clem with a conf title, UGA with the best SOS, and UM with the best loss. UGA and Clem would have an extra game which also boost SOS that knocks UM out of the discussion. Clem would have conf title. The SoCar game would be a comparison. WF, NCST, UNC, (ND) is equivalent to MSU, ORE, TENN, (LSU). That conf title would be the edge.
So does a strip "sack" in the end zone make it a safety also? So its a safety/fumble/interception/td in the end zone all in one play. Too bad its not worth more than 6 points. At the very least, we should have gotten the ball back with a drop punt.
Regarding the Neb game, same reason why they would kick a field goal inside the red zone with less than 2 min left of a game already won.
For those of you focused on the SEC's what ifs.... What if Ole Miss wins out (beating Bama by a lot), Tenn wins out, LSU wins out. You have 2 loss LSU SEC champ. 1 loss UGA div champ. 1 loss Tenn and 1 loss Ole Miss not competing in conf champ game. Or what if Ole Miss wins out (beating Bama by a lot), Tenn wins out, UGA wins out. You have undefeated UGA that's in but have 1 loss Tenn with only loss to UGA and Ole Miss that didn't play UGA or Tenn, but lost to LSU that lost to both UGA and Tenn, but blows out Bama in which Tenn and LSU squeaked by a win at the last seconds.
So you might want to add one more variable to your hypothetical.
Purdue will likely do what they do best... kill others dreams but fail at their own. More likely than not, they will win this game then lose the following week to Northwestern. Its just their tradition: Good enough to win any one game in a season, not good enough to be consistent to win repeatedly.
That's actually reasonable compared to a 2 loss LSU at #10. Its ranking LSU as if LSU already beat Bama.
"Once is an accident. Twice is a coincidence. Three times is a pattern." Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan State. and that's just within the last calendar year. What's the common denominator?
While it doesn't absolve the individuals actions and accountability, it ultimately is gross negligence by the University of Michigan (including its president), its Athletic Department (including its athletic director), and its Football Program (including its head coach). The university has a oversight of making physical structural changes, the athletic department has oversight in setting protocols, resources, and staffing for events, and the football program has oversight of its discipline, culture, leadership of its members.
For all the people who said that punter can throw the ball, does all the "lineman" need to be within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage for that pass? Cause isnt that "ineligible man down field"?
I would hope that when he gets healthy, we don't start him. Weave his snaps into possessions throughout the game. Let the offense prepare and play as if he wasn't in the plans so CJ can get into a rhythm first. I'm sure the team respects JSN as WR1 so there is no point to start him at the first snap/series other than to show he's still WR1.
At least his face matches his team color.
Since the number of "T"s in his name has been sorta comical, lets combine the 2. Let's add a "T" to his name every time the refs don't call holding when he gets Tackled. Like how in baseball they post up "K"s for strikeouts. (If its made obviously known, maybe the it can force the refs to enforce blatant holding calls)
Only nepotism hire that I know of that actually helped the head coach was when Lane hired Monte.
