From what I remember seeing Harrison was utilized a lot more to set edges and was a lot better against the run than his counterparts but maybe I’m just misremembering.

It will get settled way before he could ever provide testimony in a civil suit or ncaa investigation could commence.
I imagine he’d be deemed ineligible if he admitted to participating in the rule breaking we all know happens. My guess is Florida releases him from his LOI and everyone moves on.
I wasn’t making an argument. I’m just saying OSU is one of the few schools that could pay its team from the athletic department coffers, I wasn’t implying they should. The athletic department utilizes its own accounting practices to ensure they don’t profit, that doesn’t mean they don’t earn enough to cover the anticipated costs accrued employing a football team of students should that need arise.
You’re not wrong. The quality of play that encompasses Thursday night games is lesser than of its Sunday and Monday siblings.
I don't believe the 13 million was for a freshman more than it was the maximum value of the deal over his tenure as the qb at Florida. the athletic department could absolutely afford to pay quarterbacks roughly 2 mil a season if they wanted to go down that road.
I guess I thought the comment was so clearly sarcastic that I didn’t need italics but I guess I underestimated some of the smooth brains here.
I guess I also underestimated the inferiority complex of some of our resident bengals fans as I thought it was clearly a joke but maybe you guys should actually petition the league to get out of the division as it seems you guys might be a little too sensitive, maybe we can swap the bengals with the titans and you can celebrate sundays with hugs, weekly affirmations and participation trophies.
If a crime was committed it’s probable nobody was aware until someone brought it to the attention of whoever is investigating. That’s going to be the interesting part, when was it discovered?
Typical bengals fan, get one win over the browns in 3 years and suddenly they think they’re Super Bowl caliber
So many people that wanted warren gone are now so upset that he left. What the actual fuck.
Except that his number one feature is lost because he has a knee that he’s admitted is unstable with no idea whether or not he will ever be able to feature that skillset again.
watson and Wilson were both superior quarterbacks with Wilson also having a Super Bowl ring and both going to absolutely desperate teams. The bears aren’t desperate for a win now quarterback because their team is absolute dog shit in part because they’ve been dismantling the talent and contracts in an effort to build a new team. You aren’t doing that paying 50 million a year to a running qb that can’t run.
Why would you give the ravens that much compensation? The bears are in the catbird seat and they know it. The ravens would be trying to pawn off a gimp qb that’s not under contract and would be expecting/due a huge contract which wouldn’t earn the #1 overall pick in any draft let alone this one unless andrews is packaged with Lamar.
The kids can reach out to schools at any time regardless of their standing. Schools m/coaches aren’t allowed to initiate contact with athletes of other schools but that’s now allowed once they put their names in the transfer portal.
You mean minus the ones they told to kick rocks?
Or would having him around and reporters always asking about him have been a distraction for the guys actually practicing and playing.
if he can’t play and he wasnt going to be back the following year anyway, he did what was best for both him and the team by heading out and taking care of his own business. It also let coaches work with the guys that were there and going to be the following years as well.
I’ll be real honest, I’m worried he’s more current Russell Wilson than current Tom Brady.
Wouldn’t they just get consideration as independent contractors?
He would, at the absolute minimum, rediscover a browns defensive line that has been lost to history.
There’s no chance he’s picking up 20-30 yards rushing per scramble against Georgia. CJ isn’t that fast and I think that’s probably why he’s been so against running in the past. I’d just be happy with him picking up 5-10 yards and improving the odds on the following down or getting easy first downs.
There’s a zero chance that Andy Berry in his analytical approach makes the move for a qb that wouldn’t have played football in two years. This move is on haslam. Unfortunately Berry will take the fall but such is life.
hopefully this short season effort from Watson was enough to shake the rust off for next season and he can approach his pre-sit out-suspension self.
Add Jeff fisher to the close list. Over 22 years and only 8 games over .500
I also wish Day trusted him to audible and call plays on the fly instead of always checking the sidelines. That’s not on stroud though, I just think Day wants his grip on the offense. Will be interesting if he really does give up playcalling.
Yeah the teams that suck everywhere and select a qb before having anything for them to work with or be protected by doesn’t make any sense to me either.
I’d rather build a great team and then gamble one draft to take a qb than do it backwards.
Unsure why you got downvoted but I agree. Nobody is disregarding CJ’s talent but his drawbacks, which are real, are going to be what holds him back until he can find a way to squash the criticisms.
he’s not going to play all 17 games indoors when the elements get nasty and he’s going to have to elevate the guys around him and get them to believe in him too. Maybe he’s a Joe Burrow strong silent type but he does often look pouty whether or not he is actually pouting and guys see and react to that.
Uh nobody cares? Let’s look at the correlation between recruiting titles and national titles. Alabama and Georgia clearly show a strong correlation. The other teams can still be competitive without getting the top class on paper I don’t think anyone’s arguing otherwise.
If it’s the premier EPSN weekly then it’s a good production as I do like herbie’s games as I mostly tune out Fowler’s input. Aside from that I agree there’s a lot of shitty production despite the fact that the quality of the actual gameplay is FAR better on ESPN than the other networks aside from maybe CBS.
