I agree we may push players out but we CANNOT keep trying to play 10 guys...it is insane.   How can any unit get comfortable with the CONSTANT line up changes throughout the game....

He needs to pick 5...and have 2-3 off bench.   Cannot please everyone....

He plays WAY too many guys.   The team can never find a "rhythm " and I am sure we have about 10 very frustrated players over playing time.    By try to appease many - he is frustrating all.

I am shocked.   I do NOT think he is a bad coach, but he is panicking and coaching desperate.  He needs to identify to FIVE and have 2-3 sub guys.

The ball is sticking because everyone is looking for their own shots - they d not want taken out.   We had such a free-flowing offense and now we hold onto the ball until late is shot clock and get bad shots.

Teams have figured out we cannot handle pressure - we do not have dependable PGs....

NOTHING TO SEE HERE!   If it occurs at Michigan, it is "no big deal" and they can laugh about it!

When Tressel lied about players selling their OWN possessions,  UM fans lambasted Ohio State - and STILL brand him a CHEATER.

When Harbaugh spends money on recruits and lies, it is "NO BIG DEAL!"

This is why it is fun beating those hypocrites.   UM fans are the worst.   When we play them, it truly is good versus evil.....and we are not the "evil" ones....

Yes - this is a great thing.   As upset as all of us are, I am sure Lathan felt the pain even more than us.

He is a play-maker and has the ability  to go up another notch....

Our fans are unrealistic.   It is great that we expect a lot, but according to many here, we have NEVER lost a game that we absolutely should have won.  In many minds, we should be undefeated since 2002.

Other than Alabama, no fanbase has had it better than us this century.   That is not an opinion...it is a fact.   We are so spoiled, it is ridiculous.  I love that we are great, but I have a bit of realism also...

The call that irks me the most is the Bowers first down.  This was wrong and I see very little on it.  The play on the field was called SHORT....they reviewed and OVERTURNED it.   There is no way they could tell if he gained first down without an "overhead" or "down the line" camera angle.   The rule states "When an airborne player is going out of bounds, the ball is marked out where it BREAKS the plane of the out of bounds."

The pic they keep showing - including in this article - proves nothing.  It is ridiculous.    Look at his left hand and how close it is to out of bounds.  The position of his body shows that the ball had already broken the plane...and well before this pic.    My point is, they OVERRULED the call based on 1 perspective when you cannot do it.  You have to have perspective where ball breaks plane...and if you watch replay,  there is no way to tell, but he looks short.  There is certainly not enough evidence to overturn.    This was a key play and it goes ignored.

I do not like to "blame refs" for a loss, but this was an OVERTURNED call...

I am still upset by the awarding of the first down by Bowes...that was 100% wrong...

ARTICLE 4. OUT-OF-BOUNDS SPOT

Item 1. Loose Ball. If a Loose Ball touches anything on or outside a boundary line, the Out-of-Bounds Spot is the forward point of the ball when the ball crosses the sideline.

Item 2. Runner Out of Bounds. If the ball is in player possession when that player goes out of bounds, the out-of-bounds spot is the forward point of the ball when the ball crosses the side line, or, if the ball does not cross the sideline, the forward point of the ball at the instant the player is out of bounds.

Item 3. Runner Inbounds. If the ball, while in possession of a player who is inbounds, is declared out of bounds because of touching anything that is out of bounds, the out-of-bounds spot is the yard line through the forward point of the ball at the instant of such touching.

Yeah - well you are wrong, so it says a bit about you, doesn't it?

wrong....it is where the ball crosses.  Imagine if there was a vertical wall where the out out of bounds is.   When the ball touches the wall, that would be the spot.   It was a bad call..and really hurt us.

Comment 01 Jan 2023

When you look at the picture they used, the ball is obviously OVER the line...the ONLY shot that would matter would be an over the head shot....But to REVERSE the call on the field is crazy.   That stupid orange graphic confused a lot of people...he was short.
