He’s not. Mike is spot on. The Buckeyes need to work hard to bring him on board. Huge priority.

Good decision - multiple position experience, started in 21 games, good size for an IOL, wants to be a Buckeye, nice depth move. Welcome to Buckeye Nation Victor!
Boom! Glad to have Lathan coming back. Yes he needs to work on some things but all players do.
Bottom line … if Marvin Harrison plays the entire game … the Buckeyes definitely win the game walking away.
Definite Boom! Now please confirm Hartline will be the play caller.
Living in Tucson will say he’s a dominant DE and would be an outstanding pick up for the Buckeyes. He’s from Salpointe Catholic a top high school football program in Arizona that Lathan Ransom and Bijon Robinson graduated from.
Big Boom! The Buckeyes will have an outstanding front 7. The secondary is a question … but then again so was Georgia’s.

Dan I think you have the pre-season 1st team right at this point. Keep an eye out for Luke not as a starter but as someone who will get snaps for sure.
Boom for sure! Great to have Jones coming back. He’s always been team first with such humility. A high caliber young man and just what the line will need to set the right example. It doesn’t matter … guard, center … he’s back.
Stroud. Young is a great runner but is smaller and his passing talent is not at CJs level who also showed he can run quite well in the Georgia game when he has an opportunity.
All the commits had a great game! Welcome to Buckeye Nation!
Felix should hold his head high. Great effort against the most physical presence he’ll encounter. Keep working hard young man. Hit your strength and conditioning heavily and put more muscle mass/weight on while developing your offensive game. You’ll be a force.
It seems as if the Bengals are getting shafted in every way. The Bengals need to beat the Ravens and If they play the Bills again it has to be on a neutral site.
The ‘losses’ to Clemson in ‘19 and Georgia were both due to incredibly poor officiating which ESPN was all to happy to cover up. I was proud of the Buckeyes in both games as they deserved to win.
Great article and thanks. I agree overall! One point though on D … yes Knowles is only in year one and he has gradually improved our D … but I’m not sold on Knowles big game judgement … why in the world did he call cover zero when the Buckeyes were up 11 points with 8 minutes to go in the game yielding another explosive play at a critical time??
The atrocious refereeing needed to be one of the 5 Things Chris. There were several big misses against the Buckeyes that ESPN did some cover-up on. Other than that, I like your list.
First of all, I’m proud of the Buckeyes and the way they played last night with great effort. The Buckeyes should hold their heads high. Ohio State definitely deserved to win.
Great analysis in the above commentary. There were 3 inaccurate/bad calls by the refs in a relatively short timeframe and at a crucial point later in the game. Nothing went Ohio State’s way during this time. These calls were not properly explained, not fully shown by replay and swept under the rug by ESPN which turned the game in Georgia’s favor.
The vicious hit on Marvin was clearly targeting from the video and a targeting penalty was called on the field. The replay shows a launched attack with the shoulder and helmet to the neck and helmet area which is targeting on 2 counts. The targeting rules are clear:
Launch — a player leaving his feet to attack an opponent by an upward and forward thrust of the body to make forcible contact in the head or neck area
Leading with helmet, shoulder, forearm, fist, hand or elbow to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area
How in the end was NO PENALTY called on that play not even a personal foul/defenseless player call? I’m incensed because it was a vicious and dirty play which could have seriously injured Marvin. The ESPN announcers did not really focus on that which was the biggest point of all - player safety. How was that overturned? And the Peach Bowl/ESPN gave the Defensive Player of the Game Award to the player who made such a cheap shot to a defenseless player? Is there no concern anymore in setting the right example?
And Marvin was clearly a defenseless player according to the rules:
NCAA Rule 2-27-14-a defines a defenseless player as “one who because of their physical position and focus of concentration is especially vulnerable to injury. When in question, a player is defenseless.”
The officials disregarded the obvious on all 3 counts. And ESPN cut to break after the plays and when they came back from commercial the game was moving forward with the overturn with little to no explanation/video. Nice coverup ESPN.
The other bad call was when the Buckeyes stopped Bowers on 4th down. He was tackled out of bounds short of the 1st down. It was called short on the field and Ohio State’s ball. The video did not show conclusive evidence to overturn the call. ESPN went to commercial and came back with the call overturned and Georgia with the ball. How did the refs overturn that? Based on what?
The third bad call was on the Georgia defensive holding play during this same time frame late in the game. The officials explained it was not pass interference because the ball was touched or tipped at the line. Yes that part was actually true, but there was clearly defensive holding before the tip and the pass. Why was no defensive holding called?
The above are only 3 of the inaccurate/bad officiating calls especially in the critical stages of the game last night. There was more including the time out call on the fake punt that was very close indeed but think Kirby may have gotten that one in time but no significant replay was shown to really check the timing of that. And the refs were certainly right at Kirby’s beck and call on that one. Practically making the call for him.
The point of all this is to show the egregiously bad officiating that we all saw last night. I’ve been watching the Buckeyes for 52 years and it was the worst officiating I’ve ever seen. And ESPN was right there deftly covering it up. We hear and feel how one sided ESPNs coverage can be and some say it’s done with full intention. I’ve never quite arrived at that conclusion … that is … until last night. It’s very clear to me now that they are. Objectivity or fairness or a real concern for player safety in the case of the atrociously shameful no call on Marvin is not ESPNs main concern. It’s appalling but they’re doing it to protect their business interests in the SEC. Plain and simple. It happens in business every day around the world.
The Buckeyes fought hard tonight. They deserved to win. Proud of the whole team as they brought it tonight. Two bad penalty calls for Georgia that overturned field calls had a big impact (it was most certainly targeting). Hold your heads high Buckeyes! Go Bucks!!!
An OSU vs UM game would be epic and clearly show how strong the Big 10 has become. While I would definitely like to have rematch, I think TCU is going to beat UM in a close one.
Nm_Buck - great post! That speech could have roused the dead. I’ll never forget that day. It was the biggest upset in sports history. Our Buckeyes clearly aren’t the underdogs the USA team was against the Russians but love the vibe.
OSU 48 UGA 41
The Buckeyes amass 535 yards with 100 running.
Egbuka has the most yards receiving. Stover has a great game. The O line gives Stroud time to throw.
JT, Sawyer and Hall have big games. The secondary is solid.
The Buckeyes get 2 turnovers.
535
Yes sir! As a Sherman descendent if I was going to the game I would be joining you in wearing that as well. Enjoy the game Bucks62! Go Bucks!
McCord vs Brown will be a very legit competition. As we can see Brown can sling the ball with touch.
