The stats on Anders junior year (55) catches being much higher than his other 2 seasons (25 and 28 catches) is probably mostly a function of OSU having a losing season (4-5) compared to his other two seasons (7-2 and 6-3) and OSU having to pass more because they were behind more. That 55 catch stat was pretty shocking for Woody team. Still amazing to think no one had more catches per game until 1998 and Anders was still second in 2017.

I can see that if it was just campus police, but the ESPN article mentions unmarked police cars searching his house. If other law enforcement is involved, assuming a guy making $850,000 base salary isn't involved in financial crimes, the first things I would think of were child porn or some type of stalking.  But if the University computers are considered government computers (since its a public school), then regular porn is probably illegal to view, but if he only viewed/downloaded in one instance I would be shocked since the cops are involved.

The poll is just point system of final AP polls since 1936.  Bama and OSU overtook Oklahoma because OK sucked this year. "Take all the AP final rankings and use our simple scoring system – the AP national champion in each season gets 25 points, the No. 2 team 24, No. 3 23, and so on down to the bottom."  So if OSU finished 1 next year and Bama finished 12, OSU would move to number 1 all time. https://collegefootballnews.com/2023/01/ap-college-football-poll-rankings-greatest-programs-of-all-time

While society online has been nasty for years, I think the general discourse on 11W has gotten better as we exit the pandemic.  Its always been a meltdown after a loss, generally I avoid looking at the site for a day or two then. Heck I learned years ago to keep my phone 2 floors away from me when watching a game.

Dstacify, I agree with your point about getting closer, but that was Ruggles second attempt at FG of at least 50 yards at OSU, and the fifth of his college career.  He is 0-5.  He was 11-11 from 40-49 at OSU, so the offense gets another 5 yards the confidence level goes way up.

Congrats on the Natty.  Always nice to hear from fans of other teams.  I have been very impressed with the effort Georgia has put out in big games the last two years.  I was just hoping OSU would show up with the A game we hadn't seen since Clemson 2020, which they did.  I thought if they did they had the matchups that gave them a reasonable chance for a win.  I am hoping that Day is improving as a coach the way it looks to me that Kirby has and OSU can win multiple Natty's. So good luck up until the playoffs next year so OSU can get revenge.

Hartman is good.  ND will be more of an early test for the OSU secondary.  Klubnik looked better than DJ in the limited time I saw him, and with an off season with the first team and rumors of Garrett Riley as new OC, Clemson's offense should look better.

I would disagree on RB's.  They don't last long, so why take another year of college pounding and limit the odds of a larger second NFL contract.  By year 4 in the NFL you could be showing wear and tear as a RB.  I think its a plus for college RBs in a program that rotates backs and they aren't getting 25 carries for 2-3 years.

The DL and LBs should be nasty next year.  So I'll assume Knowles will burn that everyone at the LOS game plan we saw against TTUN.  Just need the secondary to make progress and get the D back into top 5 status.

I didn't like the way the Big 10 handled Covid, but until information is released proving otherwise I'll assume the medical experts and Presidents drove those decisions.  I like adding the top 2 California schools, research dollars and recruiting to the Big 10 is very good move, probably better than the OU/TX move the SEC was getting so much credit. So long term the conference is healthier, but that probably matters least to OSU out of any B10 school. Hopefully the next commish does well on expansion (I don't think anyone is going to convince ND, and Oregon and Washington are begging to get in) and doesn't have to deal with a pandemic.

Although I hate ND and Clemson, with the upgrades they are going to have QB next year, 14 and 15 seem real low to me.  I can see OSU 2 to 5.  But less worried about the whomever ends up at QB, more worried about secondary improving and offensive line. A little surprised TTUN was not above them to start, although by the time of the game OSU's new QB will be far from new.

The post should have stipulated by what criteria we are ranking them. I will go with which one would you take as starting QB in 2023 using their best version from college (season). Fields, Stroud, Haskins, Pryor, Jones, Miller, Barrett. That is different than who was best in which case I would just use Heisman and AA's and their are two guys above anyone on this list (Don Scott 2 time AA, Heisman Troy Smith)

Obviously we won't be able to judge how this works out until next season, but it seems like a good move.  I'm glad that Day is willing to adapt (he showed more emotion against Georgia than I remember seeing and made some halftime adjustments.  He revamped the defense last off-season).  He's only been a HC for 4 years so he can continue improving.

Alabama, I agree.  We are probably going to see Georgia win back to back, after giving Smart 5 years without a Natty, and one playoff trip in those years.  OSU will need to get better at NIL, Knowles will need to improve the secondary, and Day needs to show some of the adjustments and emotions he had last night in other big (marquee OOC, TTUN and PSU, playoff) games.

I can't see it happening.  He is expected to be 2nd QB taken, possibly top 5 overall.  He has started for 2 years and I really don't think he will improve much with another year in college.
