I had my doubt about McGuff, but OSU being undefeated w/o Sheldon and Greene has eliminated the doubt. Give him credit for adapting to the personnel he has on the court.  McGuff saw last year he had a fast team and implemented full court pressure that has worked to near perfection. It carried over to this year and he has added the necessary piece (Cotie McMahon) to make it even better.  Taylor Mikesell's quick release when shooting the ball is special.

At the end of close games seems like Sueing is the good, bad & ugly.  His falling down tonight in the last 8 seconds of the game allowing his man to get to the basket relying on Thornton to block the last shot of the game (yes, it was a clean block, but the dude should have never gotten to the hoop). Sueing's t.o. against Purdue in the last 25 seconds, his brain fart in the last few seconds against MI last year etc.

Lincoln Riley has become the master of the portal. If you don't mind paying high taxes and the CA govt involved in most aspects of a personal life, then LA  (USC) is the place for you. Wine, women & song (+ a nice chunk of $NIL) LA has it all. If your $NIL deal is g.t. $1M you'll pay a 13.3% state income tax. If $NIL becomes a deciding factor for some of these kids I'm skipping CA and going to schools in TX, TN & FL where there is no state income tax. Caleb Williams $NIL deal is estimated at $3.2M (assume annual). 13.3% of whatever Williams' net taxable income is going to be a huge number.

Before the transfer portal came into being Calipari signed the best of the best one-year players assuring KY top shelf talent.  The portal has evened the field. Now KY's opponents can bring in 2 or 3 good, experienced players to compete against the Cats.

In one of my Woody Hayes books it was revealed that one Summer during the early 70's Woody hired an OSU student to drive him around the entire state of Ohio visiting parents whose sons died in Vietnam. In addition, he made trips to Vietnam during the war to support our troops. Whenever he met a soldier from Ohio, he'd jot down their name, address etc.  Upon his return to Columbus he would telephone soldiers families to let them know their son was doing fine.

Browns need to can Paul Depodesta VP of Whatever.  He doesn't even live in Cleveland and folks in Berea see little of him. Whatever it is he does he is a powerful guy within the Browns organization. Whatever strategy he is imploring ain't working. Jim Donovan (Browns Broadcaster) said in a podcast the Browns need to draft more intelligent players. All the missed assignments by the Browns defense this year may prove Donovan is correct.
