Sounds like a fine and humble young man. Hope he accomplishes everything he sets out to accomplish.

And they accuse us of being cheaters.
Lincoln Riley can also evaluate quarterback talent. He doesn't have an offer from USC. Or any SEC school. Or Oklahoma, Texas, Clemson, tun, Penn State, etc. It's a low-risk/high-reward signing. He might be great starter. He might be a flop. Nobody, including Day and his staff, knows yet.
My personal opinion (as stated multiple times) is that he will be fine but I do not see him starting over Brown or Raiola. Hence, I think he will be solid backup or scout team player. And I don't see why that's a bad thing or why that makes people upset. I know a lot of people who would die to be a backup at Ohio State.
Do you think we have backups and scout team players that do not have talent or an upside? There is nothing wring with being an Ohio State backup. Our backups would start anywhere else. This option is mostly based on other commits coming before and after him (I.E. Devin Brown and Dylan Raiola) . Personally, I cannot see him starting over either. Hence, I see him as a backup option.
No, but I played high school football in Maryland. Have YOU seen a South Dakota high school football game or know anything about South Dakota high school football? Half of these teams are from towns that have a population of less than 20,000 and most of the high schools don't have a lot of options for kids. I lived about 5 minutes from one one the high schools in his team's conference and I've seen roughly half of the teams in his high school's schedule play in person. The talent is not great...It's a fact. Any of the schools in Dublin Ohio would easily as finish undefeated state champs in that conference.
This is not an inditement on Lincoln Keinholz. It's an inditement against his completion. I'm just suggesting everyone take a step back. Yes, his stats look great. But his stats are coming against bad competition.
Edit. Go ahead and downvote me, but I have perspective that 99.9% of you do not have. None of you have been to a high school football game featuring Yankton HS. Or Watertown. Or Aberdeen Central. Or Mitchell. Just don't be surprised "...IF..." Keinholz struggles against high completion. That is all.
I literally said he has talent and has an upside...
As someone who has previously lived in South Dakota, I can say with confidence that his stats are inflated due to really subpar completion. His talent has definitely not been tested against top level opponents. He has an upside but will probably regress against better defenses. I see this as Day and staff looking for a solid backup/scout team player.
New Year's Six - Rose, Sugar, or Orange.
Non-NY6 - Holiday, Sun, Citrus, or Hawai'i
I'd imagine currently independent New Mexico State would join this conference after a successful jump.
Thanks man! I have several family members and connections who went to Ohio State so choosing to root for them was easy.
American football is far more intricate and strategic than the average Scot/European realizes. It’s a shame that more people can’t be bothered to understand something different. I’d imagine the vast majority would end up really enjoying it. This is the same with some Americans and rugby and (to a lesser extent) ‘futbol.’
Force of habit…I’m Scottish originally and I haven’t given up everything from my homeland.
It's not like they wouldn't keep using the current stripe. The pants and helmets would not change. Who knows...
