Yeah, but look at the QB from UF. Signed, found out his NIL wasn't all that, now he wants out. He strictly went for the money... OSU is trying to avoid that. I get that we have to offer something, if not we'll be left in the dust, but we can't be bribing kids to come with multi-million dollar deals. It's a real slippery slop either way you dice it.

Let's knock this one out of the park!
Thanks for 2 good years CJ, although expectations fell short, you've helped springboard where we are headed... Next Man Up!
What's amazing is you have a DE running 98 yards and the only Raven who could catch him was Mark Andrews? I understand Baltimore has their goal line package in but Huntley could have tried to run him down or the RB? I mean... that was a poor effort by Baltimore to try and keep a game changing play from occurring. I'm not complaining... WHO-DEY!
The Bucks played to not lose in the 4th...Yes we got hosed on a few calls that seemingly would have changed the score and the momentum, but we see it year after year. We have to be in better positions to weather those storms.
I think about that Trevor Lawrence "bump" from Wade that caused a turnover... only to be "reviewed" and turned into a targeting call... reversing the turnover on downs. Did Wade's facemask hit Lawrence's facemask.. yes... was it malicious... no... nothing like MHJ.
Hopefully we get a CB if Lee flips. These CB flips and transfers are starting to show on the field and hurt our depth. I'm also hoping for a RB surprise this year.
Why aren't we targeting a Denver Harris, Tony Grimes, or Fred Davis - CB from the portal?
Agreed. He's been Miami for a while. Just was maximizing trips and red carpet treatments.
Sort of like Zeke getting spurned for the award, then running right through the heart of the south. I'll take it.
Any ideas if we'll be dipping into the portal this year?
Also, any fire around the smoke of Hayden entering the portal?
1 season.
Did anyone get the NIL from JNCO?
Congrats to you Buckeyes! Now let's beat those Dawgs!
Yeah... and how is Williams the frontrunner... I mean his last game was just as abismal, if not worse than Stroud's. USC got embarrassed by Utah... 2 losses. Needed to win and be in, like us, and lost big to miss out on the CFP. I guess the narratives are different somehow?
Here's your update on Adelaye - https://247sports.com/college/texas-am/Article/Texas-AM-football-Tunmise-Adeleye-enters-NCAA-transfer-portal-2022-199225102/ - Just hit the Transfer Portal.
Yeah I was watching that USC/Utah game just thinking about Clark Phillips (flipped signing day) and Bryson Shaw (transfer) and how they were in on almost every play. It seemed they kept calling their names and I just thought how nice it would have been to have had them in the secondary this year with all the injuries we had.
Not surprised on this one. Best of luck Mitchell.
Dasan McCullough hit the portal too... interesting how that one has played out since spurning the Buckeyes.
I always like to go in and see guys who were with us either committed verbally and flipped or had high interest (top 2-3 schools) but picked elsewhere, and see what's going on today (usually 2-3 yrs later).
The transfer portal is a wild thing these days.
Right, that's why it's even more important for Stroud to run. You want to put extra guys back to take away the pass... then Stroud is going to run and open up the passing game bc now you have to account for him.
I want JSN to play...mainly like a Waddle type... hes on the field, we have to account for him. However, JSN and Stroud have 0 connection at this point. They will have to build the trust back up. It will take a little for them to find a groove, which if it's in game... we don't have time for that.
The 6th thing to know about Georgia - this is basically a home game for them. I know OSU travels well, but we're playing in ATL.
I agree. We haven't thrown deep much at all the past few games... we keep trying these short routes or WR screens to get the ball to the playmakers "in space" but when the blocking isn't there, there is no space. Get verticle, stretch the field. Against TTUN Stroud had 7 seconds to throw, but couldn't find anyone open.... head scratcher (seemed he was more nervous about making a bad through/turning it over than just trusting his arm). He also needs to identify that no one is covered and run. Make them think about you instead of droping everyone back with wide open 5-10 yard runs. We don't need Stroud to run like Duggan and put the game on his legs, just keep them honest and it will open passing lanes.
Congrats to all the young Bucks up for awards.
Agreed. Score early and force JJ to take the game over (which he won't). *ichigan has 293 pass attempts this season vs. 487 rushing attempts this season. Think about the backs we've faced who had all the hype - Jonathan Taylor comes to mind - shut his ass down time and time again. Shutting down Corum will go a long way for winning this game.
