I'm not the school, just a guy reading a website post. They don't need nor do they want my opinion or advice.
I wouldn't dare to advise any of these young men or offer an opinion on their prospective decisions. What I will say is that it's difficult to see the situation being any different for any of the 3 of them next season.
As I said, every team had some misses, with the exception of Oregon. Ohio State will be fine, I hear the same thing every year after NLOI Day. Not about the players they got but the players they missed on. They brought in a good class, lots of O-Linemen and 3 good CBs, which they need. A couple of really good D-Linemen and a Top 3 TE. They're not gonna get everyone and they're not giving unproven guys NIL deals. The players on the team aren't hurting in the NIL space, believe me. Bama had the #2 Recruiting Class in 2022 and the returning Heisman Trophy winner and they still lost 2 games. TTUN has a bunch of 3-Stars and they've kicked Ohio State's ass in consecutive seasons. Instead of worrying about athletes who went to other schools, let's coach up the ones we have and we'll be fine!
What is all this "Doom-and-Gloom" about recruiting? TOSU has far and away the best Recruiting Class in the conference and the 5th best Recruiting Class in the country. Every team in the country missed on someone, except Oregon and they won't even win the PAC-12. Are we really upset that we didn't get a TE from Maryland? Bama already has like 8 TEs on their roster, Ty Lockwood committed there in 2023. Raiola hurt because he's the #1 Recruit in the class but Matt Ruhle kept his uncle on his staff and he's a Nebraska legacy. I don't follow Recruiting that closely, I just wait until NLOI to see who signs but I can't for the life of me understand why not getting a transfer TE from Maryland is a big deal...
Did you watch the TTUN game? They have a bunch of 3-Stars!
Are we really bitching because we didn't get a guy who started at Rhode Island? Any OL on Ohio State's Depth Chart probably would have started at Rhode Island. Let's all take a deep breath and calm down. So they whiffed on some guys. Anyone remember Noah Spence, Louis Irizzary, Shontrel Henderson, Prescott Burgess, they whiffed on all of those guys too. Cardale Jones won a Natty, Olave was a 3-Star, Michael Thomas went to a Prep School, Terry McLaurin was a 3-Star. TAMU had the #1 Class in America, last year. How'd that work out for them? Let's stop with all the wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth. The Buckeyes will be fine. I'm good with who we got and I don't care about who we didn't get!
It's November! Things will look very, very different in March. Remember this is Kevin McGuff we're talking about!
Doesn't X get that extra Covid year?
I believed Chase Young's performance against Wisky was the best I'd ever see by a CFB D-Lineman, until today!
I'm so sick of hearing every season how this PSU team is the best defensive team the Buckeyes will face. The Buckeyes have beaten PSU 5 games consecutively. Since PSU entered that B1G in 1993, the Buckeyes are 21-8 against them. Ronnie Bell didn't have any issues with Joey Porter in the scUM game and Bell probably wouldn't even be in Zone 6. PSU is always a tough place to play so I expect the game to be close in the first half and then the Buckeyes talent advantage takes effect and they pull away late.

Jim Knowles Defense at OKST last season had 57 sacks in 14 games. That's an avg of 4 sacks per game. Which proves both The Athletic and you wrong. The sacks for the Buckeyes just aren't coming.
They're recruiting better players than him who already have offers. They can't take everyone.
Shelly's not going to Lincoln!! She loves FLA and she's not turning UFM loose in "College Town" full of coeds.

Beth does the Raiders broadcasts and she does a credible job. She's not as bad as Buckeye fans want her to be.
Doesn't he work with useless slug Brock Huard?
He was actually the first member of the broadcast to say that the play didn't look like targeting, Sure he makes a few mistakes but that Salerno grab did look like an INT at first glance, even on the replay and mistaking #9 for #8 from their position in the Press Box isn't an egregious error. Fowler isn't any worse than any of the rest of them but Joe Tessitore is the worst...
Is Bronny confirmed? I know this is the type of game and time of year that LBJ tends to make a visit...
How exactly do you know that? What information do you have that enforces that opinion? Everyone whose livelihood depends on this stuff has him all Bama, he was just there 2 weeks ago. He hasn't been to TOSU recently and has no plans on coming. You may want this young man to commit to Ohio State, you may wish he'd commit to Ohio State but every indicator that anyone has says Bama.
Coach J. is the same age as Nick Saban, why don't the retirement rumors touch Saban like they do Coach J.?
McLaurin is WR1 for the Washington Commanders and just signed a 3-year $71 million contract in July. In 3 years with the team he has 222 catches for 3,090 yards and 16 TDs...
McNamara is a shit talker at his core so no one really cares what he says because he didn't really play. What beat Ohio State last year wasn't their Defense, we scored 4 TDs on them and could have had more, even with the sacks. Our porous defense with its bad tackling made Haskins look like Biakubutuka for 1 game. If Knowles can improve the defense by 20% this season, it'll be a completely different game this year...
