I used to kinda hate on Bronny, but his athleticism has developed and he has developed into a would-be good college player. I don’t think he is a true game changer, but again, I was wrong a few years ago on him.

I agree with most of your assessment, Eddie.
Couple comments:
1. Wypler had a stretch of bad snaps his first starting season, a couple mistakes, but I don’t recall one from this past season.
2. I agree with your comments on Hickman and Brown. I just don’t see them being drafted. Their tapes feature as many not so great plays as good plays IMO. Hickman is a safety the size of a small LB that is often seemingly afraid of contact (see MI game). That being said, certainly hopeful for both.
3. Dawand Jones - NFL scouts are gonna love him and I can see him flirting with round 1.
4. Harrison is the enigma of this OSU class and maybe the entire draft. He played well this year, popped many times during his OSU run, but just lacked consistency. Will NFL coaches fall in love and feel they can get that consistency enough to move him up draft boards?
And therefore Tressel is now more honorable than Harbaugh. #MichiganMan
Yep, arguing over who should start when none of us know anything about these two other than some high school tape. That being said, looking forward to the Spring Game. The QB competition will be good for the program.
We may be Ohio State, but brother, football has changed. In these big games, you aren’t gonna see too many 10-7 scores. But with you, you’d turn around and then complain about the offense.
Yep, agree on MI, but ultimately these playoff games are now track meets. Georgia, Bama, MI, Clemson, etc. all giving up 35+ in playoff games.
Kill ‘em CJ! Best wishes and thanks for the memories.
I think year 2 will be improved and year 3 will find consistency. The plan is there, hopefully the players are, but the missing ingredient is adaptability. Will the defensive philosophy adapt to its opponent or be able to adapt mid-game if things aren’t working. That is where I want to see improvements.
I am sure he assumes he’ll play 100+ additional snaps than he would at OSU. Good luck JJB. Thanks for the last few years.
Simply have to rotate players more, especially in lopsided victories. I just posted about this regarding McCord and the o-line. Gotta get that experience before entire units are left bare in regards to experience.
I think Wypler leaving answers the question about Stroud returning.
I 100% on playing time. We kept the starters in way too deep into lopsided wins - sometimes late into 4th quarter. McCord hardly got to throw and the young lineman played basically less than 100 snaps. I do wonder if it was because Day wanted Stroud to get his stats toward his Heisman campaign. Good and bad aspects of that strategy.
Or portal additions……nowadays
Keeping 2 starters will certainly help. Turnover happens. Having experience rewarded us with a playoff birth. Only way to gain experience is with turnover and playing time.
Big loss.
Ultimately, we recruit well for center, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see hiccups.
Go get yours, Luke!
Start of second half Maryland press and OSU turnovers swung the game.
The hypocrisy of my MI side of family (wife’s side) is already in spin control and in total bashing Tress mode. Going as far as to say Tress is lying scum.
According to them, Tress is responsible for paying players to play and kicked off paying to play leading to SEC model of paying players.
Looking back, Tress’s players really f’d him with the tattoos but he didn’t have to lie. He chose to lie. Harbaugh directed this wrong doing, knowingly broke the rules, then lied, in theory putting his players and coaches at injury and health risk. Then lied again. (Just an FYI, I don’t really care that much about the extra practices.)
Both lied. Both broke rules. Both committed the same violation. OSU is went overboard in firing the coach. Let’s see the rule devout Michigan Man react.
I get Hancock’s point of view, but we also can’t have only 2-3 experienced corners. We would be one injury away from catastrophe.
Hancock would have a hypothetical leg up on any incoming transfer.
I quit watching due to the Hamlin injury but was following on my phone. Amazing game!
Agree. What is there not to be optimistic about - just showed out and played a super competitive and fun game against the country’s “best” team, perennial playoff team, probable BIG 10 champion, great recruiting class, etc.
Wish him well. Can’t blame him for wanting more playing time later in his OSU career.
Turd - Do you get some sort of report (quarterly or annual) showing where money is being spent or how it’s being reported? Just interested since it isn’t a charity/nonprofit.
I ask because I am interested to see how much the Collectives are taking for salaries and expenses versus what is being spent on actual NIL.
Hopefully after the smoke of the bowl games clear the portal will grant us a win in the defensive backfield.
If only Stroud had one second longer on 2nd down to look over his right shoulder to Emeka who was wide open after going in motion.
I don’t blame Ruggles. There are always kicker heroes and kickers to blame. Hopefully Noah gets a shot in the NFL. He has been solid.
I rarely call out players, but Hickman declaring for the draft 6 weeks ago was a clown move. He put his hand up and said I am NFL ready and then proceeded to look like he didn’t want to tackle anybody and seemingly hasn’t made a play since. Nothing about these two games showed he is NFL ready.
