Many years ago I believe the AD at Hilliard Bradley was charged with embezzlement of school funds because he was taking some money from AD fundraisers and putting them into a private account of his own. When asked why he did this, he answered that he wanted some money to use that his wife wouldn't know about.

And no school or conference is going to institute a rule that puts them at a disadvantage in relation to other schools and conferences that don't have that rule.
The NCAA has nothing to do with NIL and never will unless all parties come to some level of agreement that the courts won't smack down.
Pretty much all of what you are asking for would be illegal. SCOTUS neutered the NCAA in this situation, they will do nothing.
Do you think schools care if non-athletes have deals with outside companies? Now the athletes have the same rights as any other student.
Okpara was getting schooled by glasses guy last night.
The night game in East Lansing is when I thought that 2014 team had a chance to be special.
Thanks for the time line.
I wonder if the initial NIL has language in it regarding one side or the other terminating the agreement in the fine print. I hope this does go to trial so that the NIL contract itself becomes public. Very interested in seeing the language in one of these deals.
Are kids able to have a lawyer (ie agent) involved in these NIL negotiations?
Obvious you didn’t watch the game if you think Zed is out.
Hookers are legal now?
Not just student athletes, some schools are doing away with any requirement for standardized test scores.
Thank you for writing about the Lucas Device, the medics used one on my friend’s wife and I didn’t know such a thing existed. Now I know what that thing is called.
Well this incident fits the criteria for a CC event much more likely than some conspiracy theory you are likely trying to peddle.
Thanks man, my brain read best on the first one anyway so no problem.
To reiterate what others have said, CPR in real life is not like on TV/movies. The survival rate is not very high.

Thankfully there were highly trained medical personnel there to get to him very quickly so his odds are much higher than normal.
This is the truth.
My OSU roommate and myself had to give CPR to his wife waiting for the squad to get to us. There was no happy outcome that day. This is dredging up that unhappy day for me.
How stupid are you?
They are running ads because they are struggling to even figure out what to put on the air.
I don't understand why people keep bringing up an airborne player when their own images clearly show he is not airborne.
For as much hype as that dude got I was amazed by how often he was on the sidelines due to "conditioning issues".
So either he pulled a Troy Smith between the SEC Champ game and Sat night or he had to work his ass off for very little to show for it.
How can 6 teams in the Big Ten have worse recruiting classes than Northwestern?
Lol, the "business relationship" would be established once the Letter of Intent has been returned to the school. Right now everything is in the negotiation phase.
And if you never want a high level recruit to sign with OSU again then sure, sue kids for changing their minds before they sign on the dotted line.
True, their contracts would have to have incentives for participation. And as you mention there would still be little incentive for first round locks to play.
I just find it hilarious that people think you could force someone to play. You might be able to force them on the field but you can’t make them perform at a high level unless they actually want to.
Lol. You can’t make someone play in a bowl game.
You either accept that some players won’t play some games for their own reasons or they will simply have a minor injury/illness that will prevent them from playing that game.
Holden did not voluntarily run out of bounds to gain an advantage, he accidentally went out of bounds while running down the court and looking backwards.
No violation for being out of bounds. The only question is if he reestablished himself before receiving the pass.
St John Arena, not St John’s
Sensabaugh Needs to get way better on the defensive end. He seems lost out there most of the time.
Doesn’t Ballard lead the team in unsportsmanlike penalties per play on the team? The dude takes some stupid penalties on special teams.
