The lack of institutional control tag has not been used in many years and I think it was more of a "thing" 10-15 years ago. I doubt much, if anything will happen here, even though OSU got nailed to the wall over tattoo gate. Of course TTUN does not have a president stupid enough to say at a press conference about the head football coach "I just hope he does not fire me." Worst attempt at a joke ever.

Been an Oshio State fan since the mid 80;s. My dad went to Ohio State.

Shows that Sam comes from good parents and he is obviously a high character guy. Would have been even more of a star if his time at OSU did not overlap with the Bosa brothers.
I am just glad that OSU was smart enough this time NOT to schedule the spring game the same damn weekend as Easter. Much easier to get fans and recruits on campus for the whole weekend when it is not Easter weekend. About time they scheduled it correctly.
Secondary help and OL depth still a priority.
Great young man and hope his future includes some capacity with the OSU athletic program. Truly inspiring!
I think McCord will be the starter with Brown having some chances to come in for running situations in the red zone.
Last year I wanted him to stay and get payback for 2021. After seeing them come into the Shoe and win this year, I was rooting for him to leave.
Glad Ransom is coming back. Should help the secondary w/ the experience.
That is a huge advantage for them and has been since way before NIL in terms of their guys coming back for the final year as opposed to OSU players that always seem when in doubt to leave for the NFL early. That especially cost us in the 90's during the Cooper years. Compare how many of Cooper's star players left a year or even two years of eligibility on the table (like Big Daddy Wilkerson) compared to how relatively few TTUN players left early. If OSU could have had more players play out their eligillity in the 90's, Cooper likley wins a natty in '95, '96 and '98.
We need to get something like this going ASAP. Often just keeping one or two key guys from jumping early is the difference between beating TTUN and losing. The new QB for us could certainly of used the 3 O-Lineman returning instead of leaving early.
Best of luck, CJ, and thanks for being a Buckeye! Go kill it in the NFL!!
Remember years ago when Pete Carroll had that press conference with Matt Leinhart and Leinhart at the last minute said he was coming back to USC and how elated Carroll was when Leinhart changed his mind and stayed? Maybe we see something like that today?
Please stay CJ!!
Keep Brian Hartline on staff as long as possible!!
I agree that Wyper leaving along with two other starts on the O-line diminish the changes of CJ coming back. I do think we will likely know one way or the other today. CJ knows how good the wide receivers are on this team and the numbers he will accumulate in 2023 would make him the #1 QB off the boards, as opposed to # 2. But to be able to leave OSU with a couple of HUGE victories are the stuff of legend and ensures you are always remembered so highly for generations to come.
CJ has a chance if he comes back to beat TTUN, win the heisman, win the BIG and possibly a natty. You remember one and all of those the rest of your life vs. one extra year in the NFL. Now that there is NIL $$ in college, the financial implications are not that significant.
Great news--welcome back, Tommy!!
Excellent news for those of the BIG. His handling during the COVID year was just terrible and cost us a chance to curb-stomp TTUN in 2020. BIG should have scheduled the Game at the beginning of the season to give time for a make-up if the game had to be postponed.
He was tone deaf when he said the BIG would not be playing while his son in the SEC was playing a full football schedule.
Great news to have Matt coming back!!
Would love to have seen Joe Germaine have a HC like Urban or Day and be allowed to start full time from day 1.
I really did not see that coming. Very disappointed, but if that is what he felt was best for him. In the long run, coming back another year might have resulted in a higher draft pick for him.
Thank you for being a great Buckeye, Paris! Best of luck in the NFL...
Yes, very hard to watch last night knowing Ohio State would have beaten TCU by at least 3 tds.
Ohio State might have the toughest schedule of the top ranked teams with 6 road games including of course at Notre Dame, Wisconsin and then in AA. Would love to see a SEC team have 6 road games, including 5 conference road games. It will never happen unless the SEC is forced to at some point.
Great news for sure! Glad to have him back!
Should be us playing TCU!!
