Concern is the trend we are seeing here...OSU has been very selective in the past with transfer portal additions ( jonah jackson, Trey Sermon, J fields, mccalister, Carter). But this is now the 5th OL we have offered during this transfer portal cycle and his ranking/performance is by far the worst.

Again...if we cant get on board with NIL for transfer players we will continue to see this issue. Just the way it is now.

The Painful loss to GA will continue to be a HUGE opportunity gone for this team. It is quite apparent from this transfer portal cycle and the close to 2023 class how far behind bucks are with NIL. We will continue to fall behind with our AD/Administration in place. We have tougher upcoming schedules and Big ten will only get harder and harder. This truly the year and we had it…and it’s gone.

I am still on these 5 questions that caused us a national championship:

1: How the F did they overturn Targeting?! 4 point swing, Bullard out of game.

2. Why is Knowles calling 0 man coverage when up 2 scores with 9 minutes left? Ransom gets worked Easy score is preventable.

3.2nd to Last drive in the Red Zone- 2nd down screen call that is slow developing. Results in 12 yard loss and leads to a field goal to go up 11.

4. Day Play Calling after big stroud run to the 30. The Run play should have been on 2nd or 3rd down. Or A quicker pass play on 2nd and 3rd down. The 30 clearly was too far and Day needed to put ball in strouds hands on 1st down.

5. Did Kirby Actually get the timeout in before the fake?!

It is becoming apparent in this cycle that NIL prior to signing is going to be as big as any factor now in recruiting ( Brian hartline not included). Larry Johnson is going to miss out on Keeley, Wilson and matayo. We are going to miss out on the top transfer portal tackle..even though that’s the one transfer portal recruit we had visit. Ohio State and Gene smith must adapt or we are going to fall behind. It’s that simple. We are Ohio state and will always have top 10 classes. But to remain elite..change is needed.

It’s pretty apparent the difference between this year and years pst is NIL. Bucks are behind the 8 ball big time from other schools…Gene needs to adapt or watch the program fall back. It’s Ohio state and we will always field top 15 classes. NIL makes the difference between that and Top 5.

Its a microcosim of the constant overthinking of Ryan Day.."Chip is bigger body, Dallan is only a Freshman...lets start miyan and then go with Chip."

Those early Miyan carries could have been 20 yards instead of 6-8. He couldntt even get to the LOS with his injury. Hayden was coming off 2 back-back great performances and was taken out for a 'secret weapon' who had 1 carry all year.

Its the same line of thinking that tries to get cute with X Johnson swing passes and throw backs to  cade stover. Target your best players.

We will see if he has learned or fallen into the trap again very quickly in the peach bowl.

Miyan carries really hurt them early on. They were HUGE holes and he could barley make it through. Especailly that 2nd and long play where he got a solid 8-9 yards but was easily taken down on a arm tackle. Hayden burts through for a larger gain.

-How many coaches have called the plays and won a Natty in the CFP era?  ZERO.  Too much to do as CEO of the program and we know Day already overthinks. Impartitive that Day checks his ego and gives up playcalling duties.

-The Cam Brown miss play hurt so much and gave life to Michigan. With that said...no reason why Knowles did not adjust and/or put martinez in the game. The big plays took all the air out of the bucks.

Beyond Playcalling it is widely apparent the management of personel is officially broken by Ryan Day. The Running back management was an absolutely a train wreck. The holes were there and Miyan could simply not get there. Hayden with 2 carries?! Chip did great...but why would we use our 5th string RB in the Game when we havent all year long? Letting Larry Johnson treat his team like a fire drill is beyond me. Mike Hall?!

You think Saban, Smart, harbaugh manage teams like this? Day consistently overthinks and it causes detriment of his team.

This will also lead to transfers as well. What a complete embarrassment by Day

The ONLY thing to stop this team is overcomplicating scheme, personnele, gmae sitautions...etc. Ryan Day has been an amazing coach for us...however he has struggled w/ his stubbornness and game management.

-11 Delay of Game Penalties in the last 4 weeks. That is CLEARLY on Day getting the play in too late to stroud.

-It is excruciating to watch when the team gets quickly to the LOS and everyone stops and looks to the sidelines and Day tries to find the perfect play. This takes away all momentum. Sometimes its better to be good then just be perfect. This impacts CJ the most and causing him to overthink.

-Situational Football- Everyone Remember the Ruggles FG attempt with 10 seconds left in the Rose Bowl instead of 3 seconds? So we had to kickoff to a dangerous return man. Has Day ever challenged a call on the field... Do we think challenging the horrible spot on Cade Stover on that key 3rd down would have been good idea? Why are we so bad on all 2 point conversions? How many timeouts do we burn in the 1st and 3rd quarters?

-Playing injured starters ( treyvon, matt jones) over proven backups is baffling.  Stubbornness

-Its ok to throw the ball on 3rd/4th and short. Coming into the Maryland game we ran the ball 22/26 times on 3rd/4th w/ 2 yards or less to go. We all know the struggles there. Let CJ be CJ

With our obvious talent advantage there seems to be a "Just get out of our own way" and these games wouldnt be close like this. Especialy w/ michigan this week...lets let our players play and its a 2 TD game.

Stretch zone isn’t working Day…As Josh perry said on BTN we need to adapt more of a gap-scheme running game.  The lineman need to fire off…and not trying to reach to get to outside. It hasn’t worked and Day needs to adjust for us to have a chance to have a pulse of a running game against TTUN.
