In Jim Knowles' safety-driven defense, Ohio State needs athletes who can make plays from sideline to sideline. They have that with Styles and Stokes. Both are athletic specimens with tremendous upside at the position, and I can't wait to see how the Mad Scientist plans to utilize their strengths in Year 2 of his master plan for the Silver Bullets.

Knowles is still the DC right? How about a little less mad scientist and a little more solid, fundamental football. Need to be WAY better against elite teams and elite coaches.

I was going to post something similar. Why does Coach have to tell the players to push the ball? I was never very good, but even I wanted to push the ball up the court. A layup was the only shot I had a chance at making. It blew my mind when I heard Coach telling Sueing to play harder. He's in his 6th year of college basketball. He shouldn't need to be told to play hard.

The live mic actually increased my confidence in the coaching staff, but SIGNIFICANTLY decreased my confidence in the players. The loss had little to do with the bogus call. It had everything to do with the players.

But, yeah, let's boost up Penn State for Allar while knocking down Ohio State for McCord and Brown.

@Chase, Pat Forde did exactly what he wanted, got you (and others) to talk about his article two days in a row. It is better for the national media to underrate the Buckeyes than to overrate them, because it gets more clicks and generates more conversation.

Per 247, Drew Allar was rated .9851 and Kyle McCord was rated .9858. Seems pretty even and Kyle is one year older.

Let's see what Holtmann, Sensabaugh and Co. are made of as we head into the dark days of winter in January.

We need to get Justice Sueing playing like the alpha male on this team. He's got the skills and he's got the body to dominate the college game, but it seems something is missing. Hopefully he finds "it" before the end of February.

We're still the #1 recruiting school in the B1G. We may even have more 5 stars on our squad than the rest of the B1G combined. Day is still learning how to be a head coach. Knowles is still learning how to coach a team of freakish athletes.

We'll be fine in 2023.

Agreed. Plus a healthy WR room, plus a healthy TE room, plus a healthy OL room, plus a healthy DB room... Year after year we suffer debilitating injuries that take our players forever to recover from. I know it's football and injuries happen, but I am firmly convinced that our strength and conditioning program lacks injury prevention and injury recovery skills.

I'm thrilled that Miyan is coming back!

I see it this way. With lessor talent at Duke and Ok State, you have to take risks and gamble a lot. With top talent like we have, you have to play sound fundamental defense, with some unique blitzes and coverages thrown in when the situation calls for it. Knowles has to adapt his philosophy and game calling to the talent.

I didn’t watch the game but wish I had been paying closer attention because had I realized they were playing at Northwestern, I would have gone to the game.

I have high hopes for this team. I wrote on 11W last spring that I thought this year’s team would be better than last years… and I didn’t realize at the time that we have a one and done freshman. Need 3 studs and a few role players to make a big run. We might have them.

I also love his point about Ohio State taking shots to the end zone once they reach midfield. The offense has a proven track record of success when throwing the deep ball, so please, for all that is holy, I want to see it frequently in Atlanta. Because it works! Even against good teams!

I was watching our receivers not named Marvin Harrison, Jr, during the TTUN game. They were constantly lazy in their routes. Maybe it was due to nagging injury, maybe due to some other reason. Our receivers at 100% are unguardable. Our receivers at 50% equals Marvin Harrison, Jr double and triple teams all night.

Go hard all game please! and Go Buckeyes!!

If we're not going to jump into the portal because of "cultural fit" reasons, it is time to sign 30 freshmen to each class knowing full well that 8-10 will transfer out. The era of free agency is crazy.

Good luck Dunn, do your family proud wherever you end up.
