What bothers me the most is losing every game that is close at the end. Both the defense and offense struggle at the end of close games. While I like a lot about Sueing, he seems always make the key turnover, bad play at end of games. Matta was let go because he lost his ability to recruit. Holtman is just the opposite. He seems to be able to recruit (except for big guys), but his game day coaching is lacking.

Definitely a clean block. I guess is was a make up call for the non out of bounds call that gave OSU the Rutgers game.
The line of scrimmage will be a big determination of the outcome of the game. Also, Stroud has to be a threat to run on occasion. If he refuses to run the ball, OSU will almost certainly have trouble maintaining drives. Believe me, the Georgia QB will run it to keep drives going.
Any future OSU QB has to be a threat to run the ball. It's like a great athlete basketball player who can't shoot.
Ohio State has been committing penalties the whole year. Don't expect it to stop for this game. You are who you are.
I like his running ability. Something we have been missing (not counting Fields) recently.
Nice to get all these 5 star wide receivers, but there is much more to complete a good team than receivers. Need DB's the most right now.
In today's football at the college level the QB has to be a threat to run in order to win the big prize. CJ and Day have one more chance to make that happen. If it doesn't, don't expect a win for the Bucks. I like CJ a lot, but boy I wish he would run / scramble some to keep the defense honest and pick up first downs to keep the O on the field.
Gotta establish both feet inbounds. We got lucky here, but I'm not complaining. We surely had enough go the other way in the past.
Duke's shot chart was loaded with made baskets right around the hoop. Way too many layups.
This was a wierd game. OSU actually outplayed Mich on both lines pretty much the entire game. OSU's Dbacks were terrible covering and tackling, as they have been all year. Penalties were there as they have been all year. Stroud played pretty well, other than he did not run the ball - big problem. Third down play calling was absolutely terrible. All 3rd and short plays were horizontal plays behind line of scrimmage with predictable terrible results. Bucks should have been up by 20 at halftime. Other than his runs, McCarthy was underwhelming. 12 for 24. Joe Bauserman could have completed those TD passes to wide open receivers. This game was lost in the first half when OSU didn't put SCUM away because of terrible 3rd down play calling and very bad DB play. It kept Mich in the game and gave them hope after being pretty much dominated. This one is pretty much on the coaches. They didn't give the players their best chance to win. Back to Stroud not running the ball. Can you name a Nat. Championship team in the recent years where the QB is no threat to run? The QB has to be a threat to run with scrambles and designed run plays to win big games against good teams. That has to change for OSU going forward or you will see similar results like yesterday. I'm not calling for Day to go. That will only happen if he loses his ability to recruit. I guess my venting is over, and I don't fell much better.

Williams needs to run north and south, not east and west.
The game will be won or lost in the trenches just like last year.
Got our butts kicked on the line of scrimmage. That decides most football games. Has to change this year.
I don't even think about attending OSU home games anymore, unless someone gives me tickets or for way under face value.
Toledo usually plays well early in the season but always seems to fizzle off the last 4-5 games every year dating back to when Campbell was their coach. The MAC is very bad on defense in general. Kyle was right, Toledo should have beat ND last year. The QB should have taken a knee on the 1 yd. line instead of scoring a TD with 1:20 to go.
The eyes of Buckeye Nation will be on their defense. It was bad last year, and it is bad until it is proven on the field to be good. First chance to prove that is against ND.
Huge loss for Buckeye Nation and Lima, OH. A class person in and out.
Success in 2022 is dependent on vast defensive improvement in all areas. OSU was beyond bad on defense last year. Not worried about the offense. Have to stop the run, pressure the QB, be able to cover in space, run to be ball quickly and tackle. Tackling was terrible last year.
Very happy for Thad. Hope his back issues are better. He didn't look good physically (back and drop foot) his last few years at OSU. He was a very good coach. Poor recruiting decisions and losing his ability to recruit good players cost him his job at OSU.
He's a playmaker. Get him on the field somehow.
It's all about guards who control the game and make plays at the end of games. OSU and B10 is lacking that component.
OSU lost because Villanova had more skilled basketball players. All could shoot jump shots (not push shots) and make them. All could handle the ball, pivot, pass, etc. without turning it over. It doesn't matter how good of an athlete you are if you can't do these things. Skill always wins out. We recruit too many players who are not B10 or top level D1 players. Have to stop wasting scholarships on non skilled players. Not having a true point guard in God knows how many years hurts badly. I can't see how we will be better next year with the players returning. Who is going to score, except for Branham, if he comes back. The Buckeyes played about as well as they could yesterday, and they played hard. As one coach famously said, we are who we are.
