If Fired means "in hot water", yeah, he's in hot water!
I got news for ya. This isn't the end of losing streak.
How do you NOT guard the inbounds player??
Holtmann: FOUL the 100% foul shooter!!
PLEASE give Holtmann a lifetime contract because there is NO WAY that Ohio State can find a better coach than him!!
The day Sueing graduates is the day Ohio State basketball (marginally) improves.

I'll translate the Harbaugh talk into English...
"I got NO offers from the NFL, so.... I'm staying at Michigan!" Bless my soul... Go Blue.
Losing in OT is actually TWO steps forward. Losing in regulation is ONE step forward. That's because it's a "Quality" loss, and the games just mean more!
Oops! Sorry, I must have gotten lost on my way to the SEC and ended up here.
Watched the Jacksonville game tonight. Sunshine must have incriminating photo's on the refs. Chargers were up 27 - 0 in the first half but ended up losing 31 - 30 on a last second field goal. Some TERRIBLE calls by the refs that all favored the Jags. In fact, two of the terrible calls went against Bosa. They were holding him on a lot of plays and the Offensive Tackle he was going against was starting early, and it was never called.
I wonder if these refs used to ref in the ACC?
It was a BAD call. However, the Gopher player still comes down with the ball on the other side of the basket with 1.7 seconds left. Maybe the players stopped playing because of the whistle, but it looked like he had a clean put back from the other side if he wanted it. TERRIBLE defense all around for the bucks.
Holtmann should change his name to Garcia's Bitch! Seriously, HOW to you leave their BEST player all alone at the top of the key the WHOLE game??
"He didn't navigate Covid very well"? That's about the same as saying: "The Titanic didn't navigate that Iceberg very well".
Continuing proof that you CAN FAIL UPWARDS!
Clemson would NEVER join the Big 10! They'd be in the East Division. Dabo would have to face Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, and Michigan State every year while having to compete against Rutgers and Maryland for eastern seaboard recruits? No Way! He'd rather stay in the cupcake ACC, play one good team a year, and have a cake walk to the playoffs, much as Georgia will be doing next year.
Think we found Kevin Warren's Eleven Warriors account...
A cheap shot, not called, helmet to the head OR NECK area that wasn't called... from driving Georgia into the sea.
Not only did that play knock out MHJ, but if it had been called properly, that defender would have been gone, and Ohio State would have had first and goal inside the 5 yard line. Even without the helmet-to-helmet call, I don't know WHY that wasn't a personal foul, unsportsman like conduct even without targeting? Ohio State had to kick the field goal instead of a possible TD. That's a four point difference. How much did the bucks lose by?
I watched the game with tears running down my cheeks.
Yes, Ohio State would have dominated TCU. Guaranteed. The vertical seam routes were open ALL NIGHT LONG! Stroud would have had 400 yards easy.
But do you know who's REALLY pissed? Alabama!! Yeah, roll-tide, you bastards... and Saban gets another year older.
Team can't handle the press? That's Ok. Coach Holtmann says That's on Him.
Team can't field any height with just two players on the team over 6'9". Coach Holtmann says That's on Him.
A 6'1" guard out rebounds all of the players on the Buckeye team? Coach Holtmann says That's on Him.
Team can't block out on multiple free throws? That's Ok. Coach Holtman says That's on Him.
Team gives up a 20 - 4 run at the start of the second half? Coach Holtmann says That's on Him.
Team won't guard the inbound players, giving them a clear pass to an open shooter? Coach Holtmann says That's on Him.
Team gives up layup after layup like the other team is doing a layup drill? That's Ok. Coach Holtman says That's on Him.
Team can't even get a winning shot off because the screener "Got run over"? Coach says That's on Him.
I'm SURE glad we have such a great coach who puts SO much on himself so the team can be successful.
Yes, he played his heart out. So does Zed Key. But you have ONE player over 6'9" on the entire team. Sad, sad, sad.
THAT'S what happens when you have crap for a big man in the BIG 10 and one of them goes out in the first half.
Sad, sad Coaching.
I'm pretty sure that all new coaches are signed to a two year contract which can then be extended. Maybe Knowles, because of his experience, got a longer contract, but either way, he's on the hot seat next year.
Buckeye - I can't find it right now but I saw an article on Knowles record against 'rivals' and in 'big games'. This is going back to his time at OSU. It is absolutely horrible! The 'rivals' run up some huge numbers against his defenses.
On the other hand Jimmy Harbaugh is now 0 - 6 in his last six bowl games. I think he's 1 - 7 overall so there is something to feel good about.
Unfortunately, CJ's legacy at Ohio State will be that he was probably our most accurate passer in several decades, if not for ever!
But here is the bad news: Number of BIG10 championships? Zero. Number of Eastern Division championships? Zero. Number of wins against TTUN? Zero. Number of playoff wins? Zero.
He'll probably be remembered much like Coach John Cooper was... plenty of wins, a really nice guy, but he never won anything of significance. Having said that, I wish him the best in his pro career.
