No other Jim Tressel-era player garnered Heisman consideration that decade.
Still crazy to me that Chris Gamble didn't get considered.

one difference this years SAD factor has is that there is the potential for redemption with a win in the Peach Bowl.
Love that Caleb Burton had on an actual Ohio State tie

I apologize, it was still the Downtown Athletic Club at that time.
Richard McNutt (whose 2002 Heisman campaign web page is still up)
the kids of 221 East Lane actually got a cease and desist from The Heisman Trophy Trust for the Dick McNutt Heisman campaign
It always bothers me that it comes out right after I get off my lunch break haha
That's true. I was curious why he coached and didn't play in years past.
This just makes me confused, why didn't he play with Carmen's Crew?
I am a Reds AND a Browns fan. I thank God every day for the Buckeyes.
By year 5, Thad had 3 NCAA tournament appearances, 2 reg season champions, one B1G tourney champion, a Final Four, and National Championship appearance. (as well as an NIT championship haha)
Smith cited the hard ground on a cold outdoor field and winter weather
How much harder does artificial turf really get? It would be interesting to see the g-max rating of the current turf, the new turf after install, and the new turf when it is cold.
I remember watching the 2011 NFL draft in there on the massive rear projection TV in the corner.
When I first saw it I thought he was ripping train tracks in half.. saloon doors makes a lot more sense.
The old driving factor for noon kickoff was they wanted everyone in the state of Ohio be able to attend the game without having to drive in the dark. I agree though, it’s pretty crappy if you have a 2 hour drive and need to find parking you're probably getting their a minimum of 1 hour before kickoff so you’d have to leave by 9am at the latest just to make the noon kickoff
even when it grabs your heart, rips it out of your chest, shoves it up your ass and then kicks you in the dick
true poetry
Going to check it out tomorrow for the first round! Thanks for posting about it in 2019 haha
If Ben learned from his mistakes, Haskins could learn from him. As long as Haskins is willing to learn from him, it could be big for his development. And if Ben knows he’s about to retire he may go more into a coaching player mode
I always thought each team has medical people on the other sideline to evaluate concussions. Maybe they were asked to step in to make sure he couldn't hurt himself further?
Love it
Speaking of young, Starlight is in the Barely Legal category of bourbons because it spends no more than exactly the amount of aging time required to be considered a bourbon (aged two years, 51% corn, in charred oak, in America).
2 years is technically the requirement to be considered a "straight bourbon." To be considered a bourbon it just has to be poured in some charred oak container and then back out.
after a quick google search.. she actually played soccer for the Buckeyes!
On one hand, the guy has no obvious connection to Ohio State or the state of Ohio in general
Isn't Bryce Harper's wife a Buckeye Alum? I would call that an obvious connection
That’s because he didn’t build a machine around him, he built a family.
Did anyone else get chills when they read that?
I once read that Archie Griffin would have been considered a 3-star recruit. Seems like he turned out pretty OK.
Two 1,000-yard rushers from Ohio State sounds like one hell of a one-two punch. I can't wait until they add J.K. Dobbins next season. Hell, Carlos Hyde will be a free agent too. Let's just get the band back together.
Haha I love it. I still don't understand why the browns gave him up. Then again I don't understand a lot of things that team does.
