Sounds good!  Center should be a strength for us, this coming season.  If it's this kid, then we should be good as he showed great raw ability against Alabama and Texas.  If it's not this kid, then it'll be someone who showed that they're better than a kid who had success against Alabama and Texas.  Either way . . . let's go!

Just need a couple rookie tackles to step up.  McCord should find his rhythm early.  WRs, RBs, D-Line, Linebackers will be among the best in the country.  Knowles defense year 2 should be a huge improvement over this past season.  Hartline is going to be awesome as OC.  Day beats xichigan, wins his national title, and then probably passes the torch to Hartline.  This is about as optimistic as I've been lately!  lol.

At this age, one more year can make a world of difference.  The Georgia QB will never be a successful starter in the NFL, but he was 25 playing against guys who were 4,5, and even 6 years younger than him, so he had a lot of success.  Ransom will be a lot better next season.  Defense in general will be much better as well.

Hartline and Knowles.

Day could not ask for better coordinators, in my opinion.

I know all the Knowles criticisms, but I think our defense was worse off when he took the job than what anybody realized.  I think year 2 Knowles D will be far better than this season (which was probably a blown targeting call away from a National Championship)

Hartline is brilliant.

1) Lots of first year starters on O-Line (They could band together and surprise us)

2) Green QB (Could be an immediate star, but who knows)

3) No reason to believe corners and safeties are going to be any better (at least not until The Game)

4) Injury prone RBs  (Would love to be wrong on this)

My expectation for next season, is that we lose a couple times early or mid season, and then round into form in time for The Game.  Beat Michigan, and follow that up by beating the crap out of whoever we get in our bowl game.   I'm guessing that we won't win the conference or make the playoff, but by the end of the season we will be one of the best teams in the country, and we'll all have to deal with the frustration of knowing that we'll once again lose a bunch of our stars before 2024.  It's all about timing folks.  This was our year.  We blew it.

It still hurts to think about how we lost Joe Burrow and then watched him have the greatest season in the history of college football.  I'm afraid we're going to see the same thing with Jack Miller.  The only real knock on him, is the injuries in high school, but I like kids that have a "chip on their shoulder".  I don't know.  They're all talented.  Let's just hope we don't have to watch one of them win a national championship for a different team.
