Love the Chryst Timeline - in 2018 signed for $3.3 million, increasing by $100,000 each year thereafter.

Overtime is Authorized - as they used to say on my NRC Licensed Nuclear Reactor Operator job. Lots of weekends / nights / holidays because folks seem to like electricity and the company employed 9 of us. About the same as I like Buckeye Football.

Ryan Day (1-2 v TTUN) is signed through 2028 overall compensation $9.5 million per season. His base salary will be set at $2 million.

So I'd like some OT on recruiting, NIL, player development, general nice guy duties with a Michigan ass whipping going the other way in 2023. Or renegotiate a discount.

That 11/25/23 game will be 1456 days since our last satisfactory performance in The Game.

Good men have aged and died in that interval.

I'd help out for FREE and be worth every penny.

I'd throw all over them dudes too.

I can't throw and they'd still make me look good.

( Did I read Kyle McCord is ALREADY a near zero experience Heisman watch candidate? )

Just saying.

Now a guy has options.

I'll help you out:

Chris Olave + Garrett Wilson + Michael Thomas.

Hope that helped.

Good news is Marvin - Harrison - Junior ( as Gus Johnson might shout)  is still a baby and is a beast. He will exceed all predecessors.

tOSU = WRU

I love trivia.

Do you remember which Buckeye got Heisman votes his junior season?

And won it? Let's see. Hmmm. This guy?

NIL is a deal that will create prima donna athletes among a team. They'll want better treatment, They'll want things that are far better earned. The term rat poison comes to mind. My experience was military as a young man. We were all equally broke. We were all working class dogs. We had a lot of brotherhood  - just by being there. Can't imagine the sweet deal guy expecting a sacrifice.

Regarding Alabama being first. The past decade is an incredible indicator. We have to beat them consistently to take that spot.

Both TTUN loses, and the Georgia loss were elite defenses.

Running Dallan Hayden (4.8 ypc vs Georgia) only 9 times reminds me of another loss when we ran Zeke 12 times.

Neither game was a Defense problem - both games within a FG.

JT could overthrow the Taliban, but when he took off - it was an open field thing of beauty.

Zeke got 12 carries in that 2015 MSU game. Urban owned that as a contributor to the MSU loss.

Ezekiel Elliott: “We Just Weren’t Put in the Right Opportunity to Win This Game

COLUMBUS – It was the biggest question of Ohio State’s surprise 17-14 home loss to Michigan State on Saturday: Where was Ezekiel Elliott?

The running back was physically there, as he finished the game with 12 carries for 33 yards and a touchdown, but he only had 12 carries for 33 yards.

In the Peach Bowl, Ryan Day called 9 run plays for Dallan Hayden. Hayden still averaged 4.8 yards per carry vs Georgia, which is just about Treveyon Henderson's season average.

One more First Down - Natty v TCU

One of the following

Launch-a player leaving his feet to attack an opponent by an upward and forward thrust of the body to make forcible contact in the head or neck area
A crouch followed by an upward and forward thrust to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area, even though one or both feet are still on the ground
Leading with helmet, shoulder, forearm, fist, hand or elbow to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area
Lowering the head before attacking by initiating forcible contact with the crown of the helmet

only ourselves to blame, indeed.

It certainly gave the Buckeyes and their fans reason to think that if Noah Ruggles had made his 50-yard field goal attempt in the game’s final seconds – or if Ohio State could have gotten closer to the end zone on its final drive to give Ruggles a more makeable field goal, or if the Buckeyes could have held Georgia without points on even one of its three fourth-quarter possessions – that Ohio State would have been the team celebrating a national title on Monday night in Los Angeles.

I saw in the Peach Bowl that Dallan Hayden was given only 9 carries and produced 4.8 yards per carry.

That is very near Treveyon Henderson's season average. I'd estimate that given 20 more carries, one OSU score or perhaps one fewer UGA score by FG or TD happens. Play clock alone - the 20 carries eats up (at 40 seconds - first Downs), about 13 minutes of time, probably double what our pass plays ate up.

We won that game for the first 55 minutes.

Had the CFP committee used theoretical point spreads for matchups between Alabama and the three teams who were a lock to make the playoff (Georgia, Michigan and TCU), Nick Saban believes the Crimson Tide would have earned the No. 4 seed in the four-team tournament.

Translation, the BCS(EC) computer says ...

Dallan Hayden 111 carries  553 yards 5.0 ypc and averaged 4.8 ypc vs GEORGIA

Treveyon Henderson 107 carries 571 yards  5.3 ypc

Although we favor Treveyon, Dallan is a proven substitute - and it's a crying shame we gave Dallan 9 carries vs GEORGIA.

Point: Depth at RB was not a factor. ONLY RYAN DAY PLAY CALLING kept Dallan under 50 yards.

I reckon that's why he rationally chose to give up play calling next season. I'm looking forward to a Natty.
