Had a weird realization the other night while watching Buckeye womens hoops: they are children. The girls hoops team has a number of players who look so young, literally like kids. And since women mentally mature faster than men, you start to realize that even the mens football team, regardless of their size and strength, they’re just kids. Now we’ve always known this but when compared to a womens hooper you can really recognize this aspect. It was literally last week when i had to ask myself ‘how much care and pressure should I be assigning toward children?’

Neither of those guys were ball controlling guards and you need that in tourney.
Zed is a good player but if you take Michigan states good teams ten years ago, a guy like Zed is your 6-8th best player. Not your 2nd. Sueing just isn’t very good.
This team needs to penetrate, draw contact or kick. Get Sens into pick and rolls. That’s all we got.
Raiola isn’t basing his deal on money although not being paid upfront by OSU is seemingly a part of the issue. I’m still waiting on what bullshit Dom Raiola and Stafford conjured up about Coach Day to justify leaving because that’s their public line.
End of day, Smart, Raiola and Stafford made this happen for Georgia with a cool Mil upfront.
If I had to guess what Rashada does I’ll say he’s PAC12, and it’s Cal If they can get him ANYTHING or Washington, since Penix is there now and Kieholz said they had a better NIL deal than OSU.
Alll told you wish the best for these kids.
It may have been happening behind the scenes but not to this scale. Not millions of dollars. Not every kid.
I’ve stated repeatedly that NIL will eventually evolve, or devolve, largely into what the intention was because boosters will get fed up with no ROI, and someone calling them for more money every day. I’m already hearing it first hand with one of OSU and LSU largest boosters.
This kid got bait and switched. He will be fine in the end so don’t cry for him but all signs point to him being a quality kid. Of course this happened in Florida. A place of fast cars, fake glam and real assholes.
Wish Sueing was our 6th tight end and not playing basketball anymore
He recruits the players.
The offense has no flow.
The players don’t play to their strengths, whatever they are.
Whether he lasts the season I don’t know but you can see them stall and you know they’re not getting out of it. Sign of a good coach is getting ONE bucket out of a timeout. He never does.
no, but I always believed there should be a secondary football league, and the drafted players are regionalized. Like if the CFL expanded south to Columbus, and the drafts made it so the Ohio team had dibs on collegiate Ohio, Michigan, Indiana players, etc.
Why don’t you make down/up votes Public? Like when you hover over the vote it shows who voted? Would certainly limit alot of the nonsense no?
You clearly don’t understand how message boards work.
I agree….Kyle Rittenhouse is the problem.
I’m guessing you don’t have the intellect to come up with an answer as to what the benefit is of discussing this is if you can’t really discuss it. It would seem I’m not the one with an agenda since I’m recommending it not be discussed. But you can throw around lame terms that dominate the current convo if you think it makes you feel smart. I’ll shred you like a sheet if you really want to get into it. But you don’t.
I get how they work. People should strive to do better. Maybe one down voter will come up with an answer to any of the questions although doubtful. It’s hard to switch opinions anonymously.
Thanks for condolences. Lived a long and fruitful life.
Disagree. We discuss these sports related things to help us understand the game, see things differently, etc. Are we going to discuss gun violence, poverty, racism, lack of education, or other aspects of why this happened? I don't think so.
My dad died Dec. 21st. Not sure how that's relevant. I think there's a ton of crime everywhere; every day. So what's the difference if it's a college athlete, pro athlete, high school athlete, or random person? I just don't understand what discussing what some kid in Alabama did is going to lead to a positive, or enlightened discussion on an Ohio State Message Board. Especially when this board is intentionally devoid of politics, not sure how anything necessarily beneficial results from this post.
Talk about this story.
Or this story.
Or this story.
If this board wants to allow people to truly discuss why these things happen, we should do that. If not, I don't see the point other than to maybe point out what some kid at some OTHER school did.
What’s the benefit of this thread?
Yeah that’s not exciting. They’re a basketball school. UCLA, Oregon and Arizona Only schools of relevance in that conference. Those accomplishments don’t do it for me.
How did Miller do at Arizona? Pretty sure never got past Elite 8 and underachieved repeatedly, and that's a basketball school.
I’m not saying Lawrence isn’t going to be a good QB but I only seeing him as being a good QB
Clear cut #1 QB in the draft…..
I have a guy.
I tend to agree there's zero reason for a single thread, let alone two. What's there to discuss?
My guy said last night "It's possible but doubtful. He already knows what we're giving him but it's not generational wealth. 5% chance because he does think he has something to prove." I think that's pretty Captain Obvious, but that's what it is. You make $30mil as a top 5 pick.
Not true.
