Don't like hearing about goalie struggles. That's a big red flag. And I think they're way underselling Allen and Shean's potential. Interesting about LaCalandra down at attack. That is surprising.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!
Hudgins and LaCalandra are ELIGIBLE!
Here comes a natty!!
https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/ohio-state-s-hudgins-deemed-eligible-for-23-spring-joins-buckeyes-with-two-years-remaining/60558
And now we know the reason. Ohio State football has its spring game on April 15, so they didn't want to lose a crowd to that.
Aerials of new field, if you're into that.

If Bodie Kahoun makes it to Columbus I will be shocked. Absolutely shocked. That's based on the fact that he is getting Power 5 football scholarship offers. Definitely not a knock on him at all.
Got me. Take the upvote.
Per Inside Lacrosse, Bichelmeyer will postgrad and join OSU in 2025.
BOOOOOOOOOOM! Another future Buckeye commits! Jack Bichelmeyer, a western prospect at middie, commits to the good guys! Didn't see this coming, but I would bet another commit or two pops. Buckeyes hosted a big recruiting event last weekend, and are reaping the benefits. Welcome, Mr. Bichelmeyer!!
Hell yes.
Update: Zavitz is essentially a right-handed DiCicco. Lot to like there, probably a transition player like DiCicco, not a true O or D midfielder.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOM! Out of nowhere, Ohio State flips Keaton Zavitz from Drexel. Zavitz is Canadian, a middie, and that's all I know. Stay tuned.
Inside Lacrosse named Hudgins as one of their impact transfers to watch. Also name-checked pretty much every transfer OSU got except Justin Sherrer. No questions on LaCalandra's eligibility, so maybe he was just hurt?

The cost for a lacrosse coach is laughably small. The majority of programs will likely just make their volunteer assistant the new paid coach. That means professional faceoff and goalie coaches. Which should be good.
The new field looks really nice. I don't like the gray Ohio background for the Block O at midfield, but that's just me. There should be more branding once the indoor part is finished. Link below to aerial view of field and seating:

Big News: Lacrosse staffs across the country will be able to add a third paid assistant coach. That is huge news. Should only help the Buckeyes.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! Almost a month to the day, Ohio State gets its 8th commit! Local product Tommy Janowicz commits to the Buckeyes, giving Ohio State a Golden Bear for 2024. This was as close to a must-win battle as OSU was going to have, and the good guys came out on top. Upper Arlington is turning into a DI factory, and the Buckeyes should continue to benefit nicely.
Welcome, Mr. Janowicz!
Sure seems more and more likely we see #9 on the field. Hopefully that's the case!
Come on, North, you know there's no room for nuance and even-handed takes on the internet.

Nice news story about the new stadium. The teams have begun practice in the facility. It's a beautiful field.

Actually tied with at least 2018, when Terefenko, Leclaire, and Inacio got the nod.
Three Buckeyes named Preseason All-Americans by Lacrosse Magazine. Probably the most ever?

One of them is Marcus Hudgins, who is rumored to have had eligibility issues. Not sure if this is an indication one or the other.
Here's a dogshit preview article focused around "one big question" for each conference.
Ohio State is mentioned as one of the three top dogs in the conference, but there's no mention of the Buckeyes otherwise. Don't mind the fact that they have added exceptional offensive pieces, the best defender in the portal, and return their star goalkeeper from the end of 2022.

Hudgins made an appearance on the official Buckeye lacrosse Twitter feed at practice today. For what that is worth
I have absolutely no news. There is still one person on FanLax swearing up and down that Hudgins is not playing 2023, but that's it. We will know in a few weeks.
This allegation parade is to make up for all of LSU's shenanigans.
