That’s mind-blowing

Welcome aboard and trust the process
I’m not knocking you for it but more calling out how most fans are ambivalent, maybe exhausted, when it comes to the basketball team.
Like it was mentioned, hometown kid plus it’s not likely he is going to say or do anything stupid. This is not a NFL conspiracy.
Funny how there’s a BasketBucks game tonight and it’s not even mentioned…
His out of bounds plays suck anyways. The players just kind of mosey around like 4-year olds playing soccer then we just lob it in.
The B1G slate really ramps up after this one and Nebraska. We need to string some winning streaks together or it’ll be the NIT for the Bucks.
No I’m literally stating facts. Sorry if that’s too truthful for you.
We didn’t. In either year. Shoulda woulda couldas are as worthless as a piece of chicken in Hairball’s fridge.
I think that’s why that long snapper is now at Michigan State instead of Ohio State
Maybe in play but not in overall douchery. Levis seems like a decent teammate, unlike Zach Wilson.
This is sarcasm I assume...
Yeah, I agree. We used to have dudes just dunking and having fun. These are still young guys who want to have fun and showcase their talents. We still have DUDES who can play ball...Holtmann is just the restricting governor of mediocrity that won't let them.
Poor execution at the end of the first half, start of the 2nd half, and end of the game. Failure to break the press effectively. And mainly just a crappy scheme. We run a boring ass offense and we can't defend.
Holtmann's offense is so boring. I know we have a high or the highest KenPom Offensive Efficiency rating, but it's boring. How many dunks are we getting in a game? How many fast break alley oops are we getting? We need a spark and some explosiveness, but instead just run the Holtmann offense that teams tend to figure out by January.
Corum is a fool coming back. Though, teams will probably question his top end speed and he can’t prove it with a bum knee. He just seems like he is ready…and I don’t want to face him either haha.
You’ve pin pointed one or two plays. I’m citing 5+ years of watching Holtmann teams fail at breaking a press and closing out halves/games.
It’s 100% coaching and Holtmann has only his guys at this point. We haven’t been able to break a press since he’s been here. Therefore, this is all on Holtmann.
Let’s get McGuff from the women’s team to coach next year.
If it’s so overrated then why aren’t the Buckeyes putting up the same stats with similar opponents? And I’m also certain they didn’t give up 5 or more 60+ yard touchdowns in the process.
That’s my point. Iowa has less talent but gets equal or better results than Ohio State. It doesn’t make sense.
Holtmann should be replaced by Kevin McGuff or just have McGuff coach both teams. He at least knows how to press and how to break a press.
I understand that but we act like we don’t have players that don’t fit any scheme. It’s the coaches who need to understand the limits of players and adapt, not the other way around. Example, if you don’t think you have the right CBs, maybe don’t leave them on an island.
Holtmann should ask Kevin McGuff (women’s head coach) for tips and pointers. The women’s team loves pressing and are probably better at breaking a press.

They are the 2nd ranked defense and consistently force turnovers. They allow 3.9 yards per play. Now did they play UGA? No, but they played scUM and slowed them down better than we did.
I will still never understand how Iowa can run their defense so effectively with 2- and 3-star athletes mainly and we have struggled the last 5 years (except 2019). I get it that the Iowa DC has tenure but it’s not like our players never played defense before.
I’d go back to the basics this spring. Where are your hands, shoulders, alignment, gap-filling, contain, etc. That’s where it seems we are missing the mark.
I’m with ya but it’s “loss” not “lose”
