FYI, 538's predictor is much better: https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2022-college-football-predictions/
This is the best one yet.
But I don't think Bama is. If I were a voter, I'd have flipped UGA and Bama, leaving OSU at 2.
This isn't bad, SLF. I could get on board with this.
Where are you getting 8? I have Cincy (x2), UCF (x2), BYU (x2), and Coastal Carolina, for 7.
Edit: Nevermind, I see the 2/15 game was in a separate comment and includes Western Michigan. That's pretty good to have 5 different programs from G5/Independent (non-ND) in 8 seasons. 3 different conferences: MAC, American, Sunbelt.
Yeah, not married to 16, 12 or 14 would be fine, I just generally dislike byes as favoring the "haves" further, since they'd have an extra week of rest.
I'm not married to 16. 12 or 14 would be reasonable as well. But I want conference championships to matter, hence the auto bids and then X at larges to fill the field.
Reasonable if we decrease the number of conferences, but I think the CCG should matter most.
My thoughts exactly. For every person complaining about Northern Illinois being in my list for last year, There's a 2017 UCF or 2009 Boise State or 2015 Houston. Those teams deserved a shot.
And its the format of EVERY OTHER DIVISION of college football.
Incidentally, looking at the photo at the top of the article, no matter where the U of M v. OSU game is held, both teams should wear their home/color uni's. I've said it before, both team's uni's are classics.
Came to say exactly this. I love the home unis for USC/UCLA. I don't know why the Game has never done it. It would be awesome.
Was it just me or was ticketmaster really slow?
If we can set rules, 16. Each conference champ plus top 5 at large. Limit to two per conference if you can.
Otherwise, probably 8.
All I want is the ability to set a different playoff size.
Noon games are WAY better than 3:30 games. I will die on this hill.
Where are you getting that? This has us at 87, 2 over the limit: https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/scholarship-grid
Once saw Morgan Spurlock drinking in the Library, either while he was living in town filming the minimum wage episode of "30 Days," or when he was out promoting it (not sure which).
Very cool. Go Emerson!
$230M fully guaranteed. Browns got FLEECED.
Taylor announced Karras is starting Center. They're not going to pursue Tretter.
Ted Karras will play center for the Bengals, per Zac Taylor.
