The D would be really good if we can get two college level CBs somewhere. All other areas of the D are solid. Are any of our strong safety players versatile enough to play CB and will we get someone with the skills to develop them. The last 3 years have really shown our inability to develop a college level CB.

Basketball will suck forever now that we openly have to outbid basketball schools for good players. It was hard enough when it was mostly behind the scene.

If we could just get some corners from the portal that were developed somewhere else. I am assuming that at least some of our corners are not busts and have/ had talent. You would think so, because 4 and 5 stars are usually good at other colleges. Good 5 star corners are not even going to be able to be bought to come here and be failures, when they can go to most SEC schools and be developed into real nfl talent (not Eli ) Therefore, inadequate CB coaching/developing May have a need for review.

Ransom probably would not have been drafted. We need a real DB coach to develop these guys into NFL talent. You know they have talent that has been undeveloped for at least 3 years. The Hafley staff was the last coaches here able to develop DBs to top college players.

I heard Cam Brown is coming back to improve on his Gardner type skills.
yes, that is a joke.
if we do not get any DBs that have been coached anywhere else, we are looking at late season disappointment again next year. All the hype about anyone else coming back is immaterial to late season success . Let’s face it, our D sucked because of DB failure. Again for at least the third year in a row. Hire a much better DB coach and hit the portal for some semblance of talent.

You are probably right. It will still be good for the fans of the franchise’s that have the deepest pockets. The college teams without the financial backing will have less and less to cheer about, but it will be great for the big money schools. And guess what, OSU is not one of the top 4 in the overall freeagent market. Think Texas, USC. Alabama, Georgia.

we will be saying“ remember when OSU had some pretty good teams?“

Comment 27 Dec 2022

It is not Days‘ fault. I am sure he is offering what the budget can support. Georgia and Alabama just have more $$$ available to buy the best team. This is what the majority of EW posters supported, now live with it. OSU will continue to slide lower in the top 12 every year.

Nick will remain at the top, regardless of CFP and the natty. For those of you that have not caught on yet, it is the purchase power. Alabama has always excelled in this arena. If a player is raking in million$$, in most cases he does not care as much about the natty as he does the millions.

Another Sport ruined by greed.

You people are delusional if you nitpick Tommy compared to all other LBs coming up in the draft. He will be in the top 5 LBs taken. Count on it.

Comment 24 Dec 2022

Many of you are looking at it wrong. This is the $$$$era and we need all the rich libbies to chip n to buy a better team. It is all money from here on out.

Woody etc were in a different era. It was college football. Now the WOKERS have ruined it by making it high bid for the best HS or transfer players. The top 10 teams will provide the vast majority of players coming out of the NFL junior league.
Thank our great society for ruining a game a lot of us loved for a lot of years.
If Michigan and Alabama keep out bidding us for players, we will fall farther and farther behind.

Chip in some big bucks, or quit bitching about the NEW system that many of you wanted. The $100,000 education was not enough for the elite.

Comment 19 Dec 2022

They should quit pretending and just have a draft for the top HS players by the top 10 teams with the most money. This is pro ball where you buy your players.
Get your heads out of the sand and realize it is now professional ball in the minor feeder league.
