Disagree BrutusB. Bronny isn't another lottery player like you describe. His name carries massive weight, which would attract other players. He may not be the best player out there, but his name alone is going to draw in more success. Look at Coach Prime and Colorado. Deion isn't an elite coach, but he has a big name and this generation of athletes are attracted to stuff like that.

Lol I noticed that after I made the post and thought ehh, but you're right it's bugging me so I changed it. And yes you're partially correct. Haskins did have a year under his belt before being the official new starter. CJ did as well in the covid year. As far as this years starter, watching the tape, they both look great, but I lean towards Brown because he seems to be more athletic and has a better running ability. Again, this is just my opinion. I'm good with the man getting paid almost 10 Mil to make that decision.

Having someone encourage you in your weakest moments like we often saw Babb do for his teammates throughout his OSU career is something special. For Babb going from a top recruit for a program that is the pinnacle of the College Football world to having that dream ripped away from you due to injury your entire career and still finding a way to make meaningful contributions to the team instead of calling it quits will forever be a special achievement. Thank you Mr. Babb (I'm sure we have not seen the last of you).

With all due respect, I’m sure you said the same thing about Olave. We are just talking about rumors. I don’t expect him to return, I would welcome it though.

Stroud isn’t your everyday person. He makes decisions based on his faith and family and what he feels best. He has a chance to shatter OSU passing records, win a Heisman/CFP championship and beat scum. Heck of a legacy he could leave. Not expecting if but who knows, Vegas always knows before everyone else

Who cares if someone makes a single thread about someone SPECIFIC. The amount of people on this site that get butthurt over the stupidest stuff is laughable.

It’s a good source to find news real time. Sadly it’s also a platform overrun with people who feel the need to be heard. About anything and everything.

Would OSU be ranked so low on these polls if they knew a QB like CJ was their QB next year? I say this because they act like OSU has some bum behind Stroud, x2 five stars I believe. My point being, McCord or Brown come out as elite as they were ranked under one of the most proven QB developing coaches out there the nation better watch out (includes you too Georgia)

"By the end of the regular season the rankings should be about who has the best actual record not a subjective feel of “who is the better team”.

-The committee is doing this now and by doing this you get results like last night. I'm not cool with watching 58 point national championship routs.

And to your last point about being okay with TCU being ahead of OSU. If we want to talk about "most deserving" OSUs only loss was to an undefeated playoff team. TCUs was to a 3 loss KSU team, and if that's not enough for you. OSU lost* to UGA by 1 on their own terms (missed field goal), TCU lost to that same team by 58. Let's put the "most deserving" talk to rest. Give me the 4 BEST teams in CFB playing for a title.

Short answer yes. Last night you saw the results of putting a team as the #3 seed to fend off the blow back from social media/media in general. Fun fact, TCU is the ONLY team to ever lose a game in the CFP era to NOT be moved down at all. That was because it would have "politically incorrect" to have OSU jump them because they didn't play on conference championship weekend. Much like Cincy last year, TCU was given favor because they were "most deserving" rather than a better team than OSU. A 12 team playoff will essentially remove the weak teams early and give you the true contenders. Granted, you will always have that one team like TCU who THEN after the first round of the new CFP format sneak in, but they will 9 times out of ten not make the CFP title game.

Are there 12 contenders? Nope, but there are years like 2014 where you have 6/7 legitimate teams who could win it all.
